Looking at the replays, some show missed foul calls. Will the NBA ever implement an NFL-like "booth review?"

Why or why not?

And

Do you think it would be a good idea or not?

I think it makes games go too long, there are already WAY too many interruptions as it is.

It'll slow down the game. I'm fine with the reviewing in the final two minutes but if you're planning to do it throughout the game, its just going to lengthen the game. Basketball is meant to be a fast paced sport and I like to keep it that way.

True, but there would be a limit, just like the NFL, 2 max to be used any time the coach decides.

Plus, it would cost a time out if they guess wrong so the pressure not to abuse it would be on the coach as well.

i dont think its feasible for the nba to implement a replay system similar to the nfl. the only things that should be reviewed are shots at the buzzer as well as the close plays in which the ball goes out of bounds. they should never review fouls because it would slow the game down way too much.

the replay rules now are fine. fouls should not be reviewed

I can see extensive replay rules being abused by players/ teams. But honestly some calls are complicated and can be argued either way.

I don't think so because fouls and things of that nature are subjective and even in the NFL they don't review subjective penalties like pass interference or holding.

I think they should look at every clock stopping penalty though. Like if a ball goes out of bounds they should have another referee or even go check to see if a ball goes off on someone or to see if a guy got a shot off before the shot clock expired (only on a make by request tho).

But there are some really questionable fouls in this Lakers/Boston series.

I think each team should get one reviewed call per game. When a team uses their challenge, the action cuts to the next scheduled TV timeout so the game is not extended.

great another reason to slow the game and stretch it out even more.

it'll just make it more of a snooze fest. There are way too many breaks in the game between tv commercials and team time outs as is. + fouls

NBA officials have egos. I doubt they'll overturn a foul called. Instead, they'll return the favor by calling a ticky tack foul on the opposing team on one of the few possessions down after-the-fact.

i would like to see a challenge option given to each team. so if its not under the 2 mins where the refs can review the play, the coach can call a challenge to get it reviewed. and if they get it wrong, like the nfl, they lose a timeout

I'd rather have a change of refs, if it's realistic.

It would never happen.

I would like some kind of replay however I think given the speed of NBA it will never happen. Besides, would much rather have refs fired for star calls then bring game to a halt every time player thinks they got screwed.

It should be a challenge-play option that can be used 1-2 times per game.
