Must win game for the Celtics. If Lakers win this game and go up 3-1 its over. No doubt Lakers are hungry for more and not satisfied just getting HCA. Like the Magic series last year finals, they got a road game and wanted more so they closed it out in 5 on their home floor.

Ray Allen will play much better and Kobe won't miss 19 shots again.

If the Celtics lose then the series is over. I think they win tomorrow night. The Celtics played awful on offense last night (minus KG) and were still in the game. We have had back to back close games, and I expect another one tomorrow night.

Doc Rivers is crying again, watching his live presser and he's doing nothing but crying. I have very little respect for that guy. The series has been riddled with bad calls for both teams, however the lakers gave gotten shafted in the end when it really matter, (Game 2 off KG, foul on Rondo when Odom lost the ball out of bounds) Neither team can claim they have had more or less, there has been lots for both, but the lakers have gotten some bad ones late which is why us fans were *****ing :D Lakers win tomorrow and its over, I still say lakers in 6.

NFLNBA

Jesus Christ people stop biatchn about the refs! There are missed calls, its gonna happen and bad ones! LAkers def have more length to block shots and it shows in the block disparety but there has only been 1 REALLY BAD CALL! That was game 2 when after the replay it was still called off Gasol! Why was it the only bad call that we can ****** about you ask? Because it was reviewed and still blatantly incorrect! Last night they got both replays right atleast

Celtics know this is a must win and ALL the pressure is on them, i think the Lakers will get 1 more game in Boston but the series will be going back to LA

So hey Pierce you might be right you might not be going back to LA but i guessing you wish you werenow right? lol

06-09-2010, 02:47 PM
I see a big push from Boston coming in game 4. KG came alive, Ray Allen should heat back up and I see Pierce contributing something offensively for a change.

So, for LA to win, the forwards (other than Gasol) need to be a factor. Odom and Artest need to step it up, particularly on offense.

Tough game it's gonna be tough for LA to take back-to-back in Boston but if Kobe has a good game I think LA can pull it off.

Its amazing how good this Laker team is...they can outscore teams like the Suns or they can play the Defensive game like the Celtics....not trying to brag but thats a complete team there, beating teams at their own game.

Bruno

What's really scary is how KG-Pierce-Ray- and Rondo haven't all been ON for the same game during this series. It's been one or two of them killing it, and the other two taking a night off. I guess the same can be said about the Lakers. But C's fans- how often do you see all four of them having a great game at the same time?

Should be a good game, I dont expect Allen to go 0-13 again, but i also dont expect Kobe to miss 19 shots. I still think Pierce will have a bad game ( Artest really bugs the shat out of him). I think the Lakers will take this game too. The lakers are just as dangerous on the road as they are at home, they have closed out these entire playoff series on the road, sign of a champion.

the key for the lakers will be how many assists does kobe get? he still needs to score, so i am hoping for about 25+ points and 10+ assists = win

for the celtics.....doc rivers said there would not be any adjustments for game 4 and i think he is trying to take us off guard....

there will be an adjustment....elbow picks on artest getting pierce low on the block....they HAVE to get pierce going and that is the way to do it....

I actually posted yesterday on the game 3 thread I thought Boston would win. I was telling my friend before the game though there is no one on Boston that scares me! that to me was the best game by far that K.G can have and I highly doubt he will repeat that. Kobe had a monster game 1, but game 2 and 3 were bad for him. I see him killing the C's tomorrow but the game will be super close. Lakers now have won 3 straight games in Boston.......Lakers are too big and long for the C's. Kobe is gonna keep Rondo a non-factor again. The C's don't have the offense to beat the Lakers in a 7 game series in my mind.

Lakers will win this series in game 6 in L.A on tuesday.

hahaha....best record and the "MVP" of the so important regular season.....Kobe is the best player in the world, and the Lakers are the best team in the league (defending champs) so that is a lame take buddy. The Lakers have outplayed the C's all 3 games. The only difference was Ray Allen having a career game and they pulled a lucky one out in L.A cause of that. If Ray has a average game the C's lose by 10 at least. The Lakers are the more talented and younger team.

Oh how fickle you really are. Yes I can agree that Boston plays good defense. I'm a realist and acknowledge the fact. Yet you fail to acknowledge how great the Lakers defense is. Btw Kobe has been playing the past 2+ seasons at 65%...let's overlook that aspect though.

I think LA is okay with KG scoring as long as it slows the tempo and doesn't allow Rondo to have the ball in his hands.

I do? I never said anything like that. The Lakers play good D. Bryant is usually 1st team all defense, Artest is one of the best wing defenders in the league, and they have 2 guys who block shots on a consistent basis without jumping.

Injuries are part of the game. Everyteam has them in every sport. If your playing, then you are not hurt in my mind. I don't see a blow out in this series by any team but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. I mean, there's been double digit leads in every game this series. However, I think LA takes this. They are just too good. It really isn't Kobe Bryant's Lakers anymore. It's a real team they have...and Kobe Bryant. They can win without him being on, and that's scary.

06-10-2010, 08:34 PM
First things foremost someone needs to tell Paul Pierce that the NBA Finals have began. Hes been dreadful. Artest has been good for the most part but i also see Paul miss SO MANY open jumpers. Ray wont go another 0 for. I hope Rondo has a triple double night or atleast close to it. KG i think wont go for 25 but he will be efficient.

Kobe worries me. Hes had high point totals but still has yet to have a KOBE GAME. I think we need ot worry about making sure guys like Luke Walton and Vujacic aint making baskets. That cant happen. Same for Farmar and Brown.

Mplsman
06-10-2010, 08:41 PM
so Ray Allen had 2 nba playoff records in the last 2 games, best 3 point shooting performance and worst 3pt shooting performance?!

superkegger
06-10-2010, 08:50 PM
A few things I think will happen tonight:

Ron Artest will have a surprisingly good game. (as in great defense and modest, yet efficient offensive numbers.)

Kobe will bounce back after two subpar performances by his standards and be supremely efficient tonight.

Bynum's knee will limit him too much to be effective, and Lamar plays poorly in his stead, leading the Celtics to rampage in the paint.

The officiating will be just as bad (both ways) this game as it has been all series.

I could be way off, but that's just how I see things panning out tonight.

Any-which-way, it should be another good one.

Lakers dont stand much of a chance tonight!

When the Lakers' bench is scoring, Kobe's supporting cast is by far the best in the league...and the Lakers are unbeatable. He has only 4 points, and they are right in this. Most other teams dependent on one star so much (Miami, Cleveland, Orlando, Denver, Utah etc.) can't afford a low scoring night from their star.

Shannon and Jordan hitting their shots is huge. Celtics, again, could easily be up 10+.

Also like trusting a recovered arsonist with a box of matches and a can of gas.

Not keeping them on a short leash is dangerous

This isnt good for the Celtics! You dont want this to be this close of a game when its really a must win they need to get a double digit lead by half, you dont kobe to see a single digit lead this far into game

It should be a big lead for them. A lot of missed layups and poor rebounding.

I think if they lose, they have to point to the first quarter and a half, where they didn't establish a lead.

Nate can hit any 3 when he's hot. 41 points off the bench? Obviously not all of the shots were open looks.

Its easy to say its a good shot when it goes in, but as for as the situation its not a great shot IMO. Being open is one thing, but a pull up three with a man on you... I'll let him shoot that all day.
