Time to put the reverse mojo in effect here. Zack is 1-7 with an era less than 4.00. Its obvious the offense is incapable of scoring runs with him on the mound.

OK....go to work!

OMG it is so frustrating when a guy can pitch solid games and get no help. Him and Oswalt have been 2 of the unluckiest pitchers in the game.

For the 4th straight game, the Royals scored ZERO runs for Zack!

There's something wrong with him anyway...his velocity is way off. His fastball is around 91 or 92, instead of 96...and he is throwing way more changeups that fastballs now. Can anyone say Gil Meche?

:sigh: I agree. He does look like he has lost some velocity. This last start was terrible.

KC Zack Greinke, RHP (1-8, 4.05)
Royals (26-37) @ CIN Sam LeCure, RHP (1-2, 3.12)
Reds (36-27)

Royals: Greinke was zinged for six runs in five innings last Tuesday night at Minnesota, giving up three runs in the first. It was his fourth straight loss and his ERA inched above 4.00 for the first time since Aug. 9, 2008, when it reached 4.09. Greinke hasn't pitched close to his Cy Young form of last year, particularly in his past four starts, which he's left losing 7-0, 1-0, 4-0 and 6-0. That's right, the Royals have not scored a single run while Greinke was still in the game. He has never faced the Reds in his career.

Reds: LeCure gets another start after Homer Bailey experienced soreness following his rehab start on Tuesday. LeCure has made three starts in place of the injured Bailey, winning the first but dropping the last two. Although he was charged with the loss Tuesday against the Giants, LeCure allowed just one run in six innings of a 3-0 loss and was outdueled by Matt Cain, who pitched a complete game. The only real problem for LeCure has been walks, as he's walked four in each outing.

Coaching staff also noticed a change in his delivery mechanics. They made the adjustment, and his fastball was back to 95-96 mph.

This could be very good news!
