Chauncey's name should be thrown in the mix.

I think Chauncey will make a great coach as well.
I also think former Raptor (spoken as a fan) Alvin Williams could be a great head coach.

Grant Hill, Stockton, Eric Snow, Aaron McKie, Kerr, Armstrong, Nash, Fisher, Fox, Magic, Andre Miller

***edit adding***

(if anyone is not alive than I think they would have been a good coach)

Nate Archibald, Elgin Baylor, Larry Bird, Reggie Miller, Bob Cousy, Billy Cunngingham, Clyde Drexler, Dr. J, George Gervin, John Havlicek, Pistol Pete, Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell (but he's to old now), Nate Thurmond, Bill Walton, Jerry West, James Worthy

I do want to add that some people put some superstar lists together and I don't think people are thinking about qualities that make a good coach aside from being a former superstar

great performance as a player =/= great coach

kobe bryant - he know the game and his work ethics would have him great

shane battier- works very hard as a player to study his opponets.

hakeem the dreams would be a great assistant coach- i think he'll make dwight or yao great centers

I certainly don't think Kobe would make a great coach. His constant dedication and work ethic barely correlates to his contemporaries right now let alone a future generation of players who will likely have even more power than current players.

Kobe may be able to successfully coach a team of super-dedicated yeomen, but I doubt he would have the tolerance or patience to deal with a modern prima donna. The same criticism applies to another basketball great named Michael Jordan who's best chances of 'remaining in the game' are in the front office or on the golf course.

Eric Snow. His last two years with the Cavs he couldn't play due to injuries, but he was pulling the PG over at every timeout coaching them up. Always had the basketball IQ, just not enough talent.

Great answer!

There are a lot of guys who could be a great head coach. Bill Laimbeer has yet to get his shot and he would be great. Point guards in general know the game well, I think Stockton would make a great coach, Marc Jackson, Darrell Armstrong, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Mike Bibby.

Chauncey's name should be thrown in the mix.

Wouldn't hurt for him to enunciate once in a while and refrain from being so monotonous.
