I don't get why the Finals schedule is the way it is this year.

For instance, Game 1 was Thursday and then Game 2 is Sunday. While Game 3 is Tuesday.

Why in the world would you get 2 days off from game 1 to game 2 while you are in the same city and then only get 1 day off (which is a travel day) for game 3 across the country?

The same applies from Game 4 (Thursday) to Game 5 (Sunday) when you are in the same city (Boston) and then go across the country to LA for Game 6 Tuesday.

To me what makes sense is Game 1 should have been Friday, Game 2 Sunday, Game 3 Wednesday (since you are traveling across the country), Game 4 Friday, Game 5 Sunday, Game 6 Wednesday (since you are traveling across the country), Game 7 Friday

It's simple so they could have game 2 on Sunday for ABC. I think it is to spread out, but it's all for the TV network.

Wouldn't you get better ratings Friday evening over Thursday evening? NBC certainly did.
