It is time right now for this team to go out and win 5 games in a row and Now!! 1 with houston a make up in pittsburgh and a sweep in Milwauke would put this team at 30and30 with 102 games to go. Not to mention 15 interleague games in which 12 are played in Chicago (3 at the cell). I for one have no confidence in this team what so ever but will still be routing till the end. But if this team cannot find the .500 mark sometime this month it will be all but over. The cards have not been playing there best baseball and are battling injuries and still SPANKING OUR *** with a 7.5 lead. Not over yet but getting very very close to shutting the door on one of the most depressing showings by this baseball team in the past decade. It is unreal when you look at this roster and see how horrible they have played. The Cubs are truely the most disappointing team in all of baseball right now. Bear down and go on a 5 game winning streak or at least 7of8 or something along those lines.

When you lose series consistently to poor teams, it pretty much defines you as one of those teams.

I really don't think we could have much worse of an offensive output.

The Cubs have nothing to lose by transitioning to a youth movement. Sure luck should produce more runs than we currently do.

If it was as simple as winning 5 games whenever you felt like it, every team would magically win 130 games.

The Cubs are 8 games out of the division AND the wild card. That's a massive mountain to climb, especially when you can't score over 2 runs consistently. The Cubs have enough talent to possibly go on a few mini hot streaks to give us fans some false hope... but this year is just not going to go well for us.

The Cubs need to make some smart decisions... make the right trades... try and shed as much payroll as possible. Get the kids experience. And reload for 2011. The 2011 Cubs could be a good team if the right moves are made. Starting with a new GM.
