Not sure if anyone has seen this but talks of Tony Parker to the Knicks looks like a NO!:(

At the end of the day it was not part of our plan but he is a top 5 point guard!

To be fair that is a good deal for both teams and parker

I agree but at worst case scenario can you imagine a line up of:

Parker PG "for TD, one of our 2nd round picks and Bill Walker"
Chandler SG
Gallinari SF
Nowitzki PF "Free agent"
Okafur C "Trade for Curry"

Not sure how we could fill out the rest of the team though.

It's bleacher report which is basically fans writing up articles. Unless they have a link to the original article, it's highly likely that it's fake

Interesting but will Eva Longoria want to spend her years in boring Indianapolis?

This actually is a great trade for both teams.

Spurs get to start Hill, they get younger with Rush and the 10th pick plus they get Murphy who is a great rebounder and shooting PF.
Pacers get rid of Rush who has been a total bust for them and finally get a great pg. But I wonder what they will do with the PF position now ...

I wish the Knicks had a better package but I want to keep Tony Douglas and a Chandler/Curry package won't be accepted, if only Curry was actually good.

The author also wrote that the Pacers could be a top 4 seed in the East if they get parker.

great trade for spurs, terrible deal for pacers, they need a PG but they are in rebuilding mode, how much does parker actually help them. Murphy is almost worth parker alone, the guy is solid.

She can live in Chicago and helicopter in when needed

Explain to me how getting the injury deplated Parker is a good deal for Pacers when its a 3 for 1 deal? Especially trading away ur 10th pick and Troy Murphy!? WTH? Rush too!? Murphy for Parker straight up would've been good for Spurs.

Tony Parker is not a top 5 PG.

Glad the Kansas "hereos" haven't lived up to the hype. I had a bunch of Kansas fans tell me how much Chalmers and Rush are going to tear it up in the NBA and I just laughed at them. I told them Chalmers big shot was the peak of his career and im right so far.

Now they're looking like the idiots as both have yet to do anything special in the league.

Get some cap space. Murphy has a horrible contract.

if this trade were to happen, i would expect the indiana pacers in the playoffs next year.

The pacers might even have a top four seed in the playoffs with how bad the eastern conference is.

wow!!!!

I see the Spurs dealing Parker for a chance to Draft Derrick Favors. The Spurs need to get younger upfront and get someone for Tim Duncan to mold.

George Hill/
Manu Ginobli/
Richard Jefferson/
Tim Duncan/Dejuan Blair/
Tiago Spiltter/Derrick Favors/

I do not like this for my Pacers. If the 10th wasn't included, then I would. We would have Tyler Hansbrough at the PF...noooooooo thank you. However, Tony Parker is aging and has probably started to decline now. He has experience and is a solid veteran, but I'd rather get a younger PG that can be with us for many years.

I don't know what you are smoking, but Nowitzki will be a Dallas Maverick next season.

Nice trade possibility, but I have a hard time seeing him commit to resign in Indy.

Then again, he has rings already, so why not?

LOL the article was a joke but its still a pretty interesting concept, although i think the spurs would get the better part of the deal by getting significantly younger with rush and the 10th pick and also getting a solid big to play along side Duncan

Never gonna happen

PrettyBoyJ
06-03-2010, 04:44 PM
Don't see it happening... TP is the only player actually keeping the Spurs from not being a contender.. Before his injury Pop change the offense and was goin to make TP the first option since he had a great scoring year before (22.0).. I dont think they would trade TP wen George Hill isnt fully developed and isnt a proven passer or play maker.. They need Tony to carry the load while Duncan is aging so he can stay fresh for the playoffs

would u like to point out the part im suppose to read? How the hell am i suppose to know Parker's contract is up next year? i googled that sheit and it says 7 year extended dated 07.

Now u wanna explain to me why trading a healthy murphy plus a lottery pick wif their last year's lottery pick for a freaking injured PARKER is a good idea? HUH HUH?!?

They could really use a legitimate PG to pair up with Danny Granger. If they did get him and signed him to an extension I think it would be worth it. It also help out Brandon Rush and Roy Hibbert.

Yup. Bleacher Report is not a good enough source to start a thread with.
