That looks pretty sick.

Could we see an NBA team there?

That's a nice looking arena

Yeah that is a very impressive arena. I still don't think Stern would want an NBA team there anyway though, just too many distractions.

Arena should be ready before the 2012 nba season.

I personally think the Kings will be moving to Vegas.
David Stern said they need to get a new arena and if they can't build a new arena in sacramento they will have to move. The Maloof brothers are from Vegas and own the Palms so maybe they are waiting till Vegas builds this arena?

idk but Las Vegas mayor promised he will get a pro team and with this new arena it is either NBA or NHL.

Well Stern told our Mayor we need a new arena and Vegas won't be able to bet on the local team.
The arena will be right on the strip so it would attract tourist to check out a game.

NBA summer leagues, USA game, and preseason games do great here when they come.

Las Vegas Kings. Sounds pretty good. Sacramento isn't a very big market and Vegas is close to the biggest.

I really don't think Vegas should have a team... I love it, but too big of a distraction for players. Games should sell out tho, so thats probably gonna appeal to Stern.

Well, I'm pretty sure that there won't be an NBA team in Vegas because of all the betting.

When the Raptors first went up in Ontario, the NBA wouldn't approve of the team unless the Ontario Lottery cut basketball out of its "Pro-Line" lotto (we in ontario can bet on sports in the lottery, it was pretty cool before the pulled basketball out). I doubt very seriously that the politic in Nevada would approve of eliminating basketball from all betting in the state like Ontario had to do.

dude that arena is AWSOME! it needs to have an NBA team immediately. i think either the clips or kings will go there.

That arena is sick but i dunno why they are building it. Isn't Vegas running out of water anyways? But like what was previously said, too much gambling to have any pro sports teams. Too much of a risk when it comes to "fixing" games. Maybe UNLV will use it as their main sports arena?

Las vegas is in the middle of a desert. They get water from a local lake and that lake is drying up really fast.

i cant see a professional team succeeding their. gambling is at their fingertips, and these athletes have A LOT of money for the most part. i think too many players would gamble and fix games. it would take credibility away from the game. the arena does look awesome though, cant deny that.

they should combine the Kings and Clippers rosters and move them.

Talk of a team(usually Kings) moving there comes up every other year or so. A few years ago Stern liked the idea then they had the all star game and apparently some incidents made him back down. However he has said a couple of times that the league would be open to such a move.

I think the Clippers should move there. There is no reason why they are in LAL. However, Las Vegas deserves a good team; therefore it would be better if the Kings go there. Las Vegas Kings has a great ring to it.

Why the hell clippers ar stille in staples center ??? Lakers don't deserve to share their court with another basketball team. Plus, how many supporters do the clippers have anyway? It's all about the Lakers and Kobe in LA.Clippers should be moved to vegas. (No offense to clipper fans).

Las Vegas is like the next closest thing to homecourt for the lakers. Preseason game here vs the kings every year that sells pretty damn well, I went to the USA vs Canada game here as well there was a lot of people at that one.

If anything the kings are the team most likely to be moved to vegas, they come here every preseason and their owners have a casino here, plus plenty of room to stay for visiting teams.

I think we'll see a major sports team in Vegas by the end of the decade. It's a good market that would support any team that is put there.

Las Vegas Kings or Las Vegas Clippers both sound good but is the NBA ready for Las Vegas and the controversy the city brings?

I think if any professional sport team has a team in Vegas, it should be a hockey team. A team in Vegas can boost ratings for them which they desperately need. To me, I think an NBA team has a higher risk while an NHL team has a higher potential reward.

If the Maloofs can convince Stern to allow them to move them there then it would be good. But of course Stern is pretty hard to persuade.

We already know we can get a Hockey team with this arena.
But Vegas is more of a basketball city.
Vegas treats UNLV basketball like a pro team lol.
and the nba summer leauges, USA practice games, and the preseason games always do good here and everyone gets a excited lol.
Stern told our mayor if a NBA team moves there there won't be any betting on the Las Vegas games. and we have to build a new arena (which we are doing right now.)
If he says no then he can kiss las vegas butt and say hello to pro hockey team

how does a city run out of water

we get our water from the colorado river.

Stop making me drool!
I don't care what team we get I just want a team here!

can't bet on team.
But UNLV will likeley share it because they are thinking about rebuilding the thomas and mack center.
