No i dont think it would be. A long time ago they only had 2 all nba teams.

The Washington Bullets beat the Seattle Supersonics in the finals in '78.

1977-78
FIRST TEAM
Leonard Robinson, New Orleans
Julius Erving, Philadelphia
Bill Walton, Portland
George Gervin, San Antonio
David Thompson, Denver

SECOND TEAM
Walter Davis, Phoenix
Maurice Lucas, Portland
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Los Angeles
Paul Westphal, Phoenix
Pete Maravich, New Orleans

Yes my mind first went to the Pistons, and if not the pistons someone from the 70's had to have one of those teams.

Well I'm pretty sure Cav's have proved once again that teams win and the celtics play more like a team then anyone else

Bosh isn't on a playoff team in the east, so who even cares what he did. Amare is better than Pau, so there you go.

Rondo would have made the team, if they actually made the All NBA-teams for each position. There's no PG on 1st or 3rd team :pity:

Because unlike Amare, Gasol had other reliable people in the post, meaning he wasn't double teamed and he wasn't the top option like Amare has to be

It may be one of the few occurences, but haven't KG, Pierce and Ray all been at least on the 2nd all NBA teams before? (The answer is yes they have) And it won't be too long before Rondo gets an all NBA team nod either. So yeah, it's intriguing, but it's also partly by design. Doc limited their minutes purposefully to keep them healthy, which didn't allow them to put up the numbers to get all NBA teams (which its debatable that they would if Doc let them play all their minutes, but if he had, its debatable on whether or not they'd be back in the Finals). So, slightly interesting, but not meaningful in any sort of way.

Before the playoffs started I mentioned that I viewed the Celtics doing a 1995 Rockets run and thus far they are. They have already knocked off the two top teams record wise and if they play LA and win that series it would be the top 3 teams record wise. IIRC the Rockets knocked off the top 4 teams record wise. 60 win, 59 win team, 62 win team and 57 win team

Something else that came to mind is that Boston may be the 1st team to go thru the top 4 players in the league in one postseason.

Wade
Lebron
Dwight
Kobe
:speechless:
