View Full Version : Charles Barkley: 'I guarantee that LeBron James isn't going to Dallas'

05-24-2010, 02:22 PM
Former NBA star and current NBA analyst Charles Barkley sat down with Galloway & Co. on ESPN radio to talk about Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks, and the possibility of LeBron James coming to Dallas. Here are some highlights:

What do you think about Mark Cubanís comments on LeBron James?

He didnít say anything. Yes, everybody would like to do a sign and trade and Cleveland probably will. Think about it from a financial standpoint: they can give LeBron 30 million dollars more than anybody else. If they were smart, if heís not going to resign there and if he were smart, he might as well get that extra 30 million dollars and do a sign and trade. That was just smart business talk, thatís just smart business. He can get the money and he can get his own team. But, as Iíve said all along, I hope he stays in Cleveland.

Why is LeBron James not coming to Dallas?

If they do a sign and trade, they have to get rid of their old team and keep Dirk. And him and Dirk alone wouldnít be enough to win the championship. Those two guys would be a good team, clearly, but I guarantee that LeBron James isnít going to Dallas. To me, itís either New York, Cleveland or Chicago, from a basketball standpoint.

Chuck's personal guarantee doesn't give me tons of faith.

wait a min, for the mavs, this is a blessing in disguise. Think about it, just about every prediction chuck has ever made, (including gambling, no wonder he lost so much out of that), has been the opposite, which means....

at small forward, #6.....lebron james!!!!

IT'S REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY PEOPLE!!! Although i think Texas is the worse state in existence so not sure why he would even want to go there.

Why would he go to Dallas anyway? There is no way to get him there for one, secondly, Dallas ****ing sucks, its among the worst cities in America

This coming from Charles Barkley, the same guy that Guaranteed repeatedly that the Celtics would lose to the Cavs.

This coming from Charles Barkley, the same guy that Guaranteed repeatedly that the Celtics would lose to the Cavs EASILY.

fixed, yep how he said it exactly.

Charles also said Yao would not score 19 pts in his rookie season. If I were a betting man, I do the opposite of whatever Chuck's betting on. ;)

Charles Barkley also said that the Cavs would clean house with Boston in 5 games or less.
