View Full Version : Among the Celtics' playoffs victims, who gave them the most fight?

Boston is on the verge of sweeping Orlando. They also embarrassed their opponents in the first 2 rounds. My question is among Miami, Cleveland and Orlando (so far) who gave Boston the most fight?

This isn't even a question, Cleveland by far

^ CLE quit. MIA fought the hardest - they just were not good enough.

Miami.

Not that much difference than 2008 really, the Celtics built their momentum over time. The Lakers were their easiest series that year, and the Hawks were their most difficult.

by far? not really. Their 2 wins against the Celtics don't tell the whole story. The Heat besides the embarrassing game 2 loss, matched up pretty well against the Celtics. In game 1 they blew their 15pt 3rd quarter lead and only got outplayed in the final period. In game 3 the game was tied until Pierce hit the buzzer-beater game winner

This is debatable

It's not even about how long the series was. The question is who FOUGHT the hardest. MIA gave it their all - they just were not good enough. CLE and ORL have layed down like dogs when the going got tough.

:) From the comments posted so far it goes to show you how dangerous the HEAT would be if Dwyane had some help. Im a little grateful to boston embarassing these other teams as it should make some of the top FA see that if wade could do all that by himself hes just missing a person or two and if these guys are smart they will team up with him.

If Diawarra hadn't made that 3 to force OT vs the Nets, the Heat would have beaten the Hawks and Magic and now we'd be the ones being swept by the Celtics :)

Wade....I mean Miami, gave it their all. You expected much more from Cleveland and Orlando, and frankly they both have given up at some point in their series. Really shameful on their part, especially Orlando, I had big hopes for them.

I think Cleveland and Orlando could've beat Boston if they were mentally tough, but Boston are the kings of toughness, both mentally and physically.

Miami is terrible talent wise, maybe the worst in the playoffs in reality, but they fought the hardest... Cleveland and Orlando quit and played scared.

It's kind of sad to say but Wade...I mean Miami put the most effort and looks to have the most heart. Cavs and its looking like the Magic are packing it in and letting the Celtics have their way.

Wade needs help fast, cause these are his prime years that are going down the drain right now... I guess every player goes through that, Kobe had a few years with very bad players on his team as well.

Wade needs a big and another player as well though... A big like Bosh or Amar'e won't put them over the top...need one more piece on top of that.

Wade's led Miami team and it isn't even close.

I'll give you the Magic but we owned the Hawks this season and they barley got passed the Bucks who are a worse team than the Heat without Bogut.

Dwyane is one scary dude. His outside game scared the *** outta me. He'd drain 3 after 3 after 3................ Sometimes 4straight 3pointers.

Dwayne Wade single handily gave the Celtics problems. I would take LeBron James and Dwight Howard in the regular season. I would take Dwayne Wade in the playoffs over ever player in the league. If Dwayne Wade was on the Lakers he would beat the Celtics in the Finals. When you watched the Heat play the Celtics you ended up saying if only D-Wade had some real help.

These playoffs are quickly showing the world that D-Wade is the piece that leads to a title.

I hope he takes the MLE w/ Boston. I can dream, right? lol :D

Definitely Miami. It's funny how they actually played the Celtics tougher than both Cleveland and Orlando.

Miami? They were blown out only once. They even kept the clinching game five fairly close.
