Randy Wells (http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=448694) vs Aaron Cook (http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=346871)

41.1.......IP.......40.1
3-2......W-L.......1-3
4.57......ERA......5.80
36........K's.........21
9........BB's........20

Cubs: Wells showed he's a quick learner. On May 6 against the Pirates, he gave up seven runs over two innings. In his last start Tuesday against the Marlins, Wells notched his fourth quality start, going eight innings. He joked that he was happy to get an at-bat. He's made only one start against the Rockies and lost. He's also fared better on the road, compiling a 3.86 ERA compared to 5.31 at home.
Rockies: Cook has not pitched with the expected consistency through his first seven starts, but he is coming off a positive effort. Cook held the Phillies to three runs in six innings and kept the Rockies close in a matchup with Phils ace Roy Halladay. The Rockies won in extra innings. Although Cook has been able to fight his way through rough times with a four-seam fastball and a breaking pitch, he needs to get on a good streak with his sinker.

Carlos Silva (http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=400067) vs Jhoulys Chacin (http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=468504)

42.1.......IP.......20.1
4-0......W-L.......2-1
3.40......ERA.....2.66
26.........K's.........19
9.......BB's.......6

Cubs: Silva is on a roll. The right-hander notched his fifth quality start in his last outing against the Marlins. The last time he began a season this well was 2004 when he opened 5-0 with the Twins. The Cubs are 6-1 when Silva starts. The key? "He throws a lot of strikes," catcher Geovany Soto said.
Rockies: After pitching scoreless ball for his first 15 1/3 innings this season, Chacin gave up six runs in five innings against the Nationals on Thursday night. Five of the runs came on two Ryan Zimmerman home runs, and each of those came on poorly located sliders. In the fifth, he couldn't put the inning away with two outs. It was not the best day for Chacin, but for the most part he stayed in the strike zone and didn't become flustered when things went wrong.

Ah, I'm going to go with Colorado's line up, which is fairly formidable, in Tuesdays match up. Silva wont keep this up against good offenses & has flirted with a bad outing recently. He's damn lucky he's missing Philly's O this week, but he looks to be going Sunday at Texas, which could be ugly as well. I'm sorry, but this guy is not this good. The apples will roll off the cart this week imo, whether it's vs. Colorado or both Colo and Texas.

I had no desire to play it but man some of you people are really making me want to.

The first one I usually tell people is the best game I ever rented. Very fun, gritty, and fast paced, but I easily finished it in a weekend. This one looks to be nearly the same, except WAY longer and in an open Grand Theft Auto style world. I'm skeptical that it'll be as good as some of the hype(it got a 9.75 in GI), but it should be a solid game.

I was watching the movie 61* this morning at 2 am (great movie btw, probably seen it 15 times). I like when Marris goes, curveball, and micky says yup didn't curve. I have that feeling tonight, Sinkerball? Yup, didn't sink enough. Even if he does have it working, Sori likes his low balls, to swing at.

How do you figure? The guy has hit .242/.278/.379 since the start of 05. Felix hasn't done great but he's been a hell of a lot better than that. And if you want to go with recent past Felix has done very well in his time in Baltimore.

You can say that Patterson might not be totally useless due to his D, but him leading off is a joke and you cannot(coherently) argue that.

redwhitenblue

No. The Cardinals do their best to put few guys on base ahead of Pujols. Putting Holliday ahead of him should hopefully increase his RBI chances for them.

Also, Pujols May isn't exactly exhilerating. Hitting .255/.388/.418/.806 in May with 1 HR.

Has it been brought up this year or not in any of our threads that Aramis Ramirez looks a bit thinner than he has before? Is it because he wasnt able to hit the weights as hard from recovering from the shoulder surgery last season or what? You can edit you're profile so that you can't see any sigs or avatars. That's what I had to do since so many people are making those gif sigs.

Thank you.

Has it been brought up this year or not in any of our threads that Aramis Ramirez looks a bit thinner than he has before? Is it because he wasnt able to hit the weights as hard from recovering from the shoulder surgery last season or what? I've noticed on a couple of instances that Aramis does look a bit thinner, and I'm not trying to hint that I believe he did steriods because I'm pretty sure he didnt.

I noticed that watching a game the other day. Maybe it was the camera angle or something.

I actually think a lot of the "Starlin isn't very patient" thing has kinda been skewed. He seems like he recognizes pitches for the most part. But it seems like when he makes contact it is always in play, he doesn't foul off a lot of pitches.

Simply put, if he swings, he usually puts it in play.
