Al Jefferson - F/C - Timberwolves

Al Jefferson says he will work out with Hakeem Olajuwon this summer.

This time last year, Jefferson was on crutches as he recovered from knee surgery. So just the simple fact that he's going to be working out all summer -- let alone with Hakeem the Dream -- is a great sign. After a very slow start, Big Al averaged 19.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 54.1 percent shooting in March. He'll be a value pick if you can get him in the third round or so next season.

3 picks in this years draft can change that .

Wow, the Magic should have looked into this for Dwight, instead of Ewing. Obviously Ewing isn't doing much for him.

He's a black hole in offense and he's D is terrible.

Hakeem can do wonders for him.

Jefferson is one of the most talented offensive big men in the game already. He has ridiculous upfakes, and he is very crafty with his pivot foot.

This could get scary.

Especially if he puts on some muscle, like Dwight Howard did. The league may be in for something amazing.

If he gets back to form I'm down with making him our down low center piece for the future. 25pts and 12rebs a game aint bad. And Kevin Love isn't very good on Defense.

Hakeem was great with the hook, and last season I saw Al J using his hook a bunch, so maybe thats what they are thinking about. Im excited.

Well 2 of them will be PGs, and at least one won't sign with the team.

But Al is a beast. Offensively he is lightyears ahead of Dwight.

Hmm. Light year's seems a bit disrespectful to Dwight. He's a lot better than Dwight offensively, but Light year's is a bit out there. ;)

If all 16 teams that made the playoffs this year get removed from the league... actually no, I don't think Minni would even even make it to the 2nd round.

Should have kept Clifford Ray.

Who cares... I hope we trade him he may be a great offensive player but he cant pass wont rebound like he should and cant guard ANYONE. Please trade Deng for jefferson but i dont think straight up would work....

Al Jefferson's Defense is worse than Amare's. That says it all.

Just think about it this way

The Diffrence between Dwight's Defense and Jeffersons defense
Is about the same as the diffrence between Jefferson's offense and Dwight's offense

Wolves fans have known about this since the day after the Wolves season was over.
I am in favor of it obviously. I hope they concentrate a lot on defense as well as post play.

not really. Jefferson is a much better defensive rebounder, has a better defensive rating despite being surrounded by inept defenders, and actually has the same defensive win shares on a 15 win team. A healthy Jefferson is as good as Amare is.

Cut him some slack. He was less than a year removed from a torn ACL last year, they say you are not fully back until your 2nd season.

Even so, his defense was bad before his ACL injury.

The wolves are destined for DOOM... That franchise seems to never do anything right, and that starts with the draft.

What does this have to do with Big Al working with Hakeem?
