Celts in 6 or Cavs in 7,so it's a must win for both teams tonight,it'll be fun to watch.

The unexpected has always happened in this series, will we see a cavs win tonight?

I don't think so.

LBJ legacy is on the line tonight, cause he'll not have a better team than he already has.

He can't do it...even with Shaq,Jamison and Mo Williams,sad.

must win for both teams. Celtics lose here, game 7=sucide, cavs lose here=lebron gone.

What will happen? IMO, i got celtics winning this one. I really don't see them losing with this kind of advantege and with rondo being amazing right now.

Celtics NEED to close them out tonight. Look what is happening with their td garden-mates (Bruins), they were up 3-0 and now they are going to lose in 7. C's have been talking about playing with urgency and they will get it done TONIGHT!!!

I still just can't see Cleveland going out like this. I said that I couldn't imagine them losing on Tuesday, and I was wrong, so I'm probably wrong about this too.

LeBron just can't continue to be as passive/****** as he's been, can he?

Seems like Celtics are getting no love at home, but if the C's get near the same amount of FTs'= Game over! The Cavs suck from the FT line.

I don't get why everyone is talking about LeBron's statline. Everyone on BSPN is talking about "LeBron needs to be aggressive and we expect him to have a statline of 35-8-8".

But NOBODY in the media or even here on PSD is looking at the unfavorable matchups for the Cavs against the Celtics, and what the Celtics as a TEAM is doing to Cleveland AS A TEAM.

Antawn Jamison is getting killed by Kevin Garnett down on the block. The Cavs still haven't figured out Rajon Rondo. The most consistent shooter and scorer in the series for Boston has been Ray Allen, and his 3 pt shots have been on target in these playoffs. And the Boston bench is outplaying the Cleveland bench because every game for Boston, there is someone different that is making an imprint on the game. Especially in the last 2 wins. It was Tony Allen in game 5, it was Big Baby in Game 6, and there's also a guy the Celtics have off the bench who they signed in the offseason and hoped to put them over the top for another title. That guy played well in game 1 or 2 (can't remember). And if he goes off hitting 3's and hitting turn around J's on the block like KG, Boston will win....his name......RASHEED WALLACE. And Paul Pierce will do whatever he can defensively on LeBron and whatever he can do offensively against LeBron.

LeBron having a big night will not guarantee a win for Cleveland. It has to be the adjustments that Cleveland has to make and the aggressive team defense they must have to stop the offensive weapons of Boston. THAT IS HOW THEY HAVE A SHOT TO WIN. If they stop Boston from scoring.

LOL. Inside i'm wishing for the same exact thing. To be a tad more specific, i can't wait to see Lebrons face as the walks off the court if they lose. Looking forward to see if he shakes hands or not, a shot of the Cavaliers bench late in the 4th and his post game interviews.

But i want to stay classy and say that anything can happen and we'll see.

Gibby23, what's wrong with you man. Lately, I've seen you having these little tid bits with your fellow Lakers fans as of late. What's up. And I thought we were real tight on these boards.

And I think from 2004-2007, All Lakers fans knew that one guy couldn't get jack **** done. All the 81 pt game, 62 in 3 qtrs, 4 straight games of 45+, 4 straight games of 50+ (65, 50, 60, 50), 27 games of 40+ in a regular season and 35.4 PPG got Kobe scoring titles and into the class of scoring elitism, but it didn't get him to winning important playoff games, important playoff series, and NBA Championships.

He needed help offensively and defensively. You have to stop the other team from scoring, limit their possession, and be very good in the rebounding department offensively and defensively to make yourself an elite team going out trying to win a championship. And you need offensive balance scoring to keep the defense honest and on their heels throughout the course of a 48-min basketball game.

But a great player like Lebron can win 1 game all by himself, and that is what the other poster was saying, 1 game. He has done it before in Detroit and he can do it again.

I'm fine with that argument. However, that Detroit team in 2007 was losing it's defensive edge and were led by a stiff in Flip Saunders, and this BOston team, although older and a bit banged up, are getting back to that 2008 defense that led them to the chip. I'm just saying, LeBron yes can score 50 and keep them competitive, but I don't think he'll be as efficient from the floor and he'll expect to be physically beat up and go to the line 15-20 times to get to 50. Boston is experienced, they have the mentality to win a championship, they have good chemistry, and thye've seen enough of LeBron James over a 7 yr span, and especially in the first 3 games of this series, to know what they can and can't do to limit his efficiency and overall production in other areas like assists, rebounds etc.

So I was watching PTI and they were interviewing Van Gundy and Mark Jackson. They said that the Cavs should start Varejao to guard KG and Jamison should come off the bench. If they stick with Tawn starting, then he should look to front KG so that he could limit KG's touches in the post and make it difficult for entry passes.

Also, Mo Williams should guard Rajon Rondo by giving attention to detail to what the Celtics are running with pick and roll situations etc w/ Rondo. Mo should refrain from getting into a cross match up with Ray Allen. If Mo Williams simply cannot guard Rondo, then the Cavs should look to put Delonte West on Rondo and give him the majority of the minutes.

Overall, the Cavs should limit their bench, and have an 8-man rotation. So I'm assuming the other bench player the Cavs would play is perhaps Jamario Moon or JJ Hickson. We may see some minutes from Big Z, but I think Cavs would be better served using Hickson.

It can be the LeBron James show and the Cavs can still lose. If you don't stop Boston's offense and limiting KG, Rondo and Allen's production, and refrain from letting another Boston bench player from getting it going and become a momentum game changer (Tony Allen-Game 4, Big Baby-Game 5), the Cavs will be going fishing!

You wax and wane as my favorite Laker poster. You're waxing right now. People are talking about LeBron going off, because he is the one player in the game who can most easily win a game on his own. He's done it tens of times in the playoffs already in his young career. The three games they've lost, were the three games he was incredibly passive. He can't be. He needs to look to score 40, dish out 10+ assists and grab 10+ boards...and he can.

No more passiveness. He needs to have the ball in his hands 60-70% of the time, and attack...

...and then everyone will whine about how it's fixed because he's getting calls. But that's when he's at his best- when he's aggressive.

I have Boston taking it tonight.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing. I'm confident that Orlando can beat them, but other's in the Magic forum, like Raph, think Cleveland would be an easier match up. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I personally prefer Boston, seeing what we did against them this season, and knowing they're a step slower than before.

Meanwhile, not even Cavs fans are convinced that all of Danny Ferry's work has been enough to keep LeBron in Cleveland. According to a poll by the Cleveland Plain Dealer's website, the majority of fans believe King James is on his way out.

Out of 4,073 votes, 36 percent (1,450) say James will leave if the Cavaliers lose. 30 percent (1,229) say he's staying no matter what and 21 percent (851) say he's gone either way, while the remaining 13 percent (543 votes) say he'll stay if the Cavs win.

So that's 2,301 fans (56 percent) who believe they could WITNESS James leaving. That's hardly a faithful following.

ManRam
05-13-2010, 08:19 PM
Why do you think Cleveland doesn't look like the Cleveland we knew from earlier this year?

Is it them, or is it simply Boston?

Because they are built for the long haul, unlike Boston, but not the big games. Besides LeBron, you never know who's going to show up. And even he hasn't shown up.

Their defense has been very poor too.

And their coach.

In other words, I actually have no idea. LeBron also isn't playing like he has all year,

And their backcourt BLOWS.

RadiantShot
05-13-2010, 08:19 PM
If LBJ lose do you think he will pull a TMac and cry in front the media ?

Nope. I think he might walk off the court without shaking hands again, but he's not a baby-eater, for crying out loud. I think he'll be disappointed, but he'll say it was his fault they lost, or the team wasn't meshing. Not so much "crying" but he knows what he did wrong, if they do end up losing tonight.

m26555
05-13-2010, 08:20 PM
Expand. I know Boston is doing well, but Cleveland wasn't ranked #1 in the league this season for nothing. I'm not even a Cleveland fan, but even I'm wondering why they're stopped up. Is this just a road block, or are they not better than Boston?
Boston just has so much more balance and experience. Plain and simple.

Fair enough. So you're speculation is that Boston has "been-there, done-that." And that's why they'll win? Do you think they could do it to every team, or are they just taking advantage of this Cleveland team?

ManRam
05-13-2010, 08:22 PM
If I am LeBron, I have the ball at every possession, and just start dominating, or trying to.

Give up on Mo and the rest of the back court. LeBron must be the permanent point-forward, point-guard...whatever.

Seriously. Mo and Delonte are sucking. Why isn't LeBron just taking over? Something has to be wrong.

I agree. I've thought about this countless times over this series, and by the looks of it, even though Boston is up on Cleveland, 3-2, that doesn't change my mind on the fact that Cleveland does more damage against us. Different teams do different things, and Cleveland just so happens to be a team that I'm scared about. Boston, on the other hand, with no disrespect, won't give me too much of a scare hopefully. I'm thinking it'll probably go to 6 games, with whoever we verse, but I can't be certain. This is the Playoffs. If you don't win, you go home. "We'll see come June." ;)

I said Orlando was better this year than last year. They're a much better team vs. 99% of the league with the exception being the Celtics. Hedo Turkoglu might have been inconsistent in the playoffs but regardless he was a match up nightmare for the Celtics for years. Vince Carter has been inconsistent throughout the playoffs in his career as well. Matter of fact his entire career has been inconsistent and the Celtics have the defenders to make him inconsistent. The Magic made improvements and added veterans but Boston did got healthy. This Celtics team hasn't been as healthy as they are right now since the season started. KG doesn't need to score much when they have Rondo, Pierce, and Ray Allen. All he has to do is play great defense just like he's doing against the Cavs. He shut down Jamison who is very similar to Rashard Lewis. The Celtics will not lose to the magic in a 7 game series. They might beat them in 5 games.

;) Haters gon' hate.

His supporting cast is better this year than it's ever been. For sure.

What all-star do they have besides LeBron. Jamison isn't playing like one. Shaq was years ago. Z has been a long time ago. Mo Williams was a fluke.

They aren't bad. They just are so ****ing inconsistent. That's the word I should use.

ok

Someone made a thread about how overpaid he is.

He's one of the 5 best role players in the league. His defense is overrated, just because some people think he's like top 5...but he is amazing at everything he does. Like I said, a coach's dream.

Oh, Okay. I thought you were making a case FOR Lebron, saying his cast was terrible, but yeah, his cast is better than ever, so if they can't squeak out a series win, or maybe even a title this year, anything less is considered a failure. For his standards, and Cleveland's at least.

The only Coach's dream I know is Chris Johnson :D. Yeah his D is overrated and I just checked... he is getting a LOT.

I swear though, if any person comes in here at the end of the game, complaining about the officiating, mainly that Cleveland got all the calls, I'll shoot myself in the head. I'd say this has been a perfectly officiated game...in that it's been consistently even. There have been bad calls, but for both teams. So no more ref talk from now on...mmmkkkayyy???
