Ira Winderman of NBC Sports addressed a question on the Mavericks on Dirk Nowitzki and the future of the Mavericks, and he suggested a sign-and trade with Toronto for Chris Bosh might be the answer.

"Such a deal would bring Bosh back home and provide Dallas with a bit more grit in its power rotation," Winderman writes. "It also would allow Toronto to collect another European to player in a system that caters to the international style."

He also writes that owner Mark Cuban is one of the NBA's most loyal owners, which could play a factor in what happens this summer between Nowitzki and his longtime employer.

"The Mavericks and Nowitzki have nothing to be ashamed about if there is a parting. It has been a compelling ride, if not one that has provided ultimate success."

This is a joke. Why would Dirk want to go to a team that has a 10x longer shot of him winning a title next year than Dallas?

Why the **** would Toronto want Dirk??? Also Bosh is younger and if they rebuild this would be a stupid move. This article is also stupid.

Dirk wouldn't want to go there, I think he would do well in Chicago though. We have a lot of German food.:D

All you need is Antoine Walker at SF and you're guaranteed to become the first NBA team with 0 rebounds in a game.

How do you manage to trade 2 free agents? The player is the one who decides where they want to go. Bosh is from Dallas but doesnt care about playing there.

Dirk in Toronto is a terrible fit for both Toronto and Dirk. Bargs and Dirk in the same front court...hahaha.

That deal really doesn't make a whole lot of sense for Dirk or the Raptors...

How? Bargs plays the C, Dirk plays PF

This deal makes absolutely no sense for the Toronto Raptors. If Bosh does leave, which is becoming more apparent as each day passes I believe Bargnani will be moved to his more natural position at the power forward spot. That aside a front court with two post players that use their perimeter shooting to their advantage would not work as there is no inside force.

Good because you won't get Bosh. Theres a higher chance he leaves and TO gets nothing than this trade happening.

both Bosh & Dirk has a player options. I honestly believe Dirk in a raptors uni would be a nice setup.

Miami fans know they will either get Amare or Bosh. While Knicks will get Wade, Melo and Lebron by 2011. :D

Doesnt make sense.

1) Dirk is way too similar to Bargs
2) the Raptros need a defensive PF/C, preferably C.

If your from seatle u should know that your about an hour walk from vancouver. so why all the hate on canada ? have you been to toronto ? its way bigger and nicer then both seatle and portland.

maybe your mad cuz your team was taken from seatle and you want to see the same thing happen in toronto. the difference is toronto is a way bigger market, a way bigger city,
while i liked the supersonics, its fans like you who say dum things that makes me think maybe you did deserve to lose your team.

peace hater. by the way haterade is on special at your local convenience store incase you need a refill.

At this point, I think Dirk i still better than Bosh... Bosh may have more upside than Dirk coz he is younger but that does not mean he is better...

And If I were Toronto, I would jump in this deal right away because you guys might be losing Bosh in the free agency...

horrible deal for both teams. Raptors already have a young dirk named il mago, they need a defensive C. Dirk wouldn't want to play in a .500 team.

Hell no... I rather have Bosh leave for nothing than take Beasley back (1st rounders are decent). An undersized PF who cant defend and isn't even a good rebounder.

Yeah... I think I am forced to have to believe that if you think Dirk still hangs around the perimeter like he used to...
