It was supposed to be Nuggets and Mavericks but they are out now. Thunder were the toughest competiton against the Lakers. It should be pretty easy now unless the Lakers find a way to lose.

Cavs have a tougher road from here on out.

Lakers vs Magic

I actually agree that I thought the Thunder had the best shot

Spurs right now.
If Phoenix gets Lopez back, then it's a toss up.

Spurs as ever.

I agree my Spanish buddy!

Of the teams above, it is probably San Antonio. But in reality the teams that have the best shot to beat the Lakers or a Kobe led team are the teams that have HCA. Kobe has only lost one series in his career with HCA and that was in the finals to Detroit.

So the teams with the best shot would be Cleveland or Orlando.

I chose the spurs but honestly the thunder were the only real threat and even this jazz team since the lakers like to play down to the level of teams, they might do the same thing as last year they know if they play the spurs they have to bring their a game and it won't be close for the spurs and in the east orlando has the best chance but won't because stern wants lbj & kobe in the finals

I would have said the Spurs, but with them reporting that Lopez might be back in action in tonights game 1. I am going with Phoenix. They were a well rounded team with Lopez in the starting line up, and I think they now have the best shot at taking on the Lakers.

Spurs obviously. Playoff basketball is largely dependent on defense and the Spurs are, defensively, the best among those three. If Ginobili's broken nose is bothering him as much as I hear it is than I doubt any team in the West is going to upset the Lakers.

Utah still has a shot. Game 1 went down to the wire and Williams is still beasting it.

spurs, their a proven team.

Phoenix Suns, with their High Octane Offense!

Jazz have the best chance.

thunder - their speed and youth can cause them problems

Mavs - They have the versatility to do soo

Nuggets - their toughness inside with nene and kmart showed they can hang with LA last year!!

San Antonio. Their experience is still almost unmatched, if it's not already.

I chose spurs coz thurnder is gone plus there was no poll for none of the above, which could have been my choice. The spurs are experienced and they are rolling at the right time. It would also be wise to say they beat the team that many had picked to beat LA. So that would mean they stand a better chance. However, i don't see it happening. Lakers will bring their A game and will win;)

Only the Lakers can defeat the Lakers. I don't see anyone in the West beating them in a 7 game series, especially now that it looks like Kobe is getting healthier. Ankle, back, knees, heck, if just one of these injuries is no longer an issue -- and if no one else gets injured -- you can expect the Lakers back in the Finals.
