7 of the 10 are guards. 5 PGs and no centers (Blair really a PF). Great PG draft.

They should pick a real team. Putting all the PGs on the first team - any blind idiot could do that. The people should have to make some actual decisions.

Ibaka and Wes Matthews hopefully got consideration. I would put Ibaka over Jerebko

u know why that would be dumb, because what if you have a whole bunch of below average players at that position...this isn't NBA all league or nothin...this is picking from just like 60 picks of last years draft.

Terrible Rookie team. I bet previous rookie teams from the last 10 years would destroy them.

Funny thing is, the guy who will end up being the best player in the future isn't even on that list. Roddy beaubois. ;)

Homerism ftw huuh? (don't get me wrong, I really like roddy too)
Anyway, it's an 'All Rookie PG Team' and an 'All Rookie Best of the Rest Team.'

why?

ok say its a great rookie class for gaurds(4/5 guys with near 20ppg) and the best center of the class is averaging 4 points and say 2 rebounds...you want that big man to be honored with a all first team over 2 guys that look like the next mj,just because you can only have two gaurds per team?

Seriously though, four PGs on one team? That's getting kind of ridiculous.

This isnt even a real team they just chose the top 10 rookies and put them on a team regargless of position.

The 1st Rookie Team gets consists of 3 PGS and a combo guard. Make a real team and NBA 1st, 2nd, & 3rd team does it!

People, this is how All Rookie teams are created. It's the ten best rookies, regardless of position. There's only about 60 drafted rookies each year, so it's not nearly as easy to make a "real team" out of them as it is for the regular All NBA teams who get to choose from any player in the league.

I personally agree with every first team pick.

I'd rather see the players that deserve it get it. Does anyone want to see Hasheem Thabeet get 2nd team all rookie just because he's a Center?

for all of you who are saying this isnt a real team ask don nelson

Because all of his team was injured, or lack of talent so he was left with no choice.

Also I think 3 guards on first team alright 4 guards is pushing it, Blair could have been bumped to first team just to balance it out a little, even though its all about the best Swede in the NBA's history...JONAS

disagree. I think the rookie team should be the top 5 rookies, regardless of position. Why should Jennings be penalized for instance, just so they can find a SF who was way worse, to even out the positions of the team?

Nah. It's not like this "team" will ever play a game. The 5 best players should get first team. No reason to have some ****** center make first team.

To the people who are saying they should actually pick a "team".. The term Rookie team is used very loosely. It's just the top 10 rookies of the year. So if 10 PG's or 10 PF's were the best rookies that year, then they belong on the list.

Ibaka didn't do nothing and you think he deserves to be there more than Taj. Ibaka is inferior to Taj and the anouncers barely mentions his name.

How about changing the list to Jerebko on top?

He had the most votes for 2nd Team

Just cause you don't know who Ibaka is, doesn't mean he's bad. Now saying he was better than Taj is ridiculous. However, in terms of potential, Ibaka's is sky high. Loved the guy going into the draft and was hoping Bulls would look to get a pick for him. And he played very well in the playoffs.
