He deserves it too. With all those years of injuries, it's fitting that he's having a great run as an old geezer :)

Pretty surprising his 96-97 Pistons team didn't advance.

Hill averaged 20.2/9.8/6.9 that season. That's pretty ****ing sick.

Off thread topic here, but just noticed your sig or whatever. What's wrong with Jose Calderon? I've always thought he was pretty darn good. Is it his contract? Or, do you prefer Jarret Jack?

I kinda like him but he really disappointed me this season because he was soooo inconsistant with his shooting and he even turned the ball over alot which is something he never does. And also, his dominance of the ball really affected Hedo's play this year, because Hedo is also a ballhandler, then you have Jack too, and that leaves Hedo hardly handling the ball, which is his biggest strength. I think with Jose gone, Hedo will handle the ball more and have a bigger role and be more comfortable. Also, Jose's defense is REALLY bad, and we need a player that can at least keep his man in front of him. And last thing is that Jack is MUCH cheaper, and is pretty much a better player than Jose at this point.

I would say its the other way around its ****ing hedo who has gotten in the way of calderon who wa splaying great until raptors signed that overhyped dude.

This guy was an elite player at one time, it is kinda of hard to imagine him not ever getting out of round 1 before. However, this was the first time he ever had HCA in any playoff series as well.

Congrats to him!!!!

Good for him. It's too bad his career took the trajectory that it did, but its nice he is finding some team success this year in Phoenix. A long Phoenix playoff run would be quite the story after the past couple seasons. Now, lets see if they can ever beat the Spurs.

He's always been a player I wanted to see succeed. Too bad it's with The Suns though.

LOL remember last year Jeff Van Gundy congradulating T-Mac for finally getting out of the 1st round of the play-offs? Even though T-Mac didn't even play at all in the 1st round series.

Congradulating Hill kinda feels like that. He was once a premier player and didnt lead past the 1st round. Now he's like a 4th or 5th option on a team that would of most likely gotten there w/o him.

I had no idea actually.

And people give T-Mac a hard time. :pity:

Hill is a big part of why phoenix made it to the 2nd round. He maybe the 4th option, but on the defensive side he gaurds the best player.

Why would you join an NBA forum if you have no idea what you're talking about?

People always kill T-Mac for this, but not Grant Hill because they like him better. Its a double standard. But congrats to him.

Why don't I know what I'm talking about? Cause I made a sarcastic remark? If any of us don't know what we're talking about it's you. You need to take some reading apprehension class to distinguish reality and sarcasm.

I know Hill playing, unlike T-Mac, when he got out the 1st round. I just said it kinda has the same feeling "to me" about congradulating Hill for getting out the 1st round. I believe the outcome of the series would have been the same if the Suns still had Barnes in place of Hill.

well u can say it both ways, but Hedo is way too expensive so I doubt any team would take his contract, and plus I doubt we give up on the Hedo project after just one season. It's clear he and Jose can't play together so Jose is most likely to be traded. I think Jose is alright, but he needs other players to pickup for his severe lack of defense. That's why I think he should be traded. You can't have weak perimeter AND interior defense, so we have to fix something....
