So I just read a thread on here about Phil Jackson's future with the Lakers and Jeanie Buss said he won't retire but shes not sure he will coach for the Lakers. That got me thinking and I remembered Lebron saying he wanted to play for Phil. Paxon recently said he inquired about bring Phil on board as the Bulls head coach. So my question is will Phil coach LeBron? Does Lebron go to the Bulls to try and bring Phil back to Chi town to coach him or does Phil go back to Chi town and try and get LeBron to join him? Is this even possible?

yes it's very posible.chicago has the money to give lebron a contract, the bulls have a coaching vaccancy, plus everything you mentioned..

but its too much of a dream scenerio for me to get excited about realistically happening

isnt the pringles man still coaching there?

Sadly he is and seems to be an unofficial co-GM.

I think that could only happen in NY.

I mean im sure Phil wants to coach where he spent his career even for 1 year.

IMO Phil will leave once Kobe retires, and depending with his health issues.

That would be crazy if Phil came full circle and coached in New York where his hero Red Holzman once coached him and his team to a couple NBA championships.

If LeBron goes to NY and Phil joins him that would be one of the most unbelievable things I have ever seen in sports.

I think Phil stays because of Bynum/Gasol/Odom, a dream trio of big men for the triangle offense. Also for the weather, especially as he gets older.

But he and Reinsdorf had a solid relationship and Phil coached Paxson. Surely the Zen master would enjoy coaching Lebron instead of Kobe.
