Lebron is just that good. Jedi mind tricking the stat keepers is part of Lebron's overall game.

This isn't the first incident involving the Chicago statkeepers IIRC.

How do you know he was credited for the rebound/assist on this play?

Yoda is that you?

It was one of those things where I reread it after I typed it and felt too lazy to go back. It was definitely yoda-like though...

I might be mistaken, it was either the Hawks or the Bulls and an article was written about the statkeeping. Something about a higher % of assists being awarded there or something.

I've said this a hundred times, but the NBA needs to be held accountable for the stats teams in the NBA. They need to hire and train three people from each city who are representatives of the NBA, not of the home team. That way any accountability falls on the league and not the home team.

But again, how do you know that Lebron was awarded the rebound/assist on this play? Very odd that it was in Chicago and not Cleveland if that's the case.

NBA is rigged to make the marketing dummy of NBA seem impressive. LeBron's stats are inflated

I'm not sure where the scorekeeper sits but if it's at the side table with the announcers I can almost understand this mistake as it's a tough angle. Not sure if an assist should have been rewarded even if Lebron grabbed the rebound.

Weird, if anything you'd think Chitown's stat keepers would want to cheat against Lebron...

I hate LBJ. The refs give him too much credit.

I am sure this has never happened in the history of the NBA.
While its obviously an error, I bet this is slightly more common that many think. And lets be honest, watching old Stockton games, he would get an assist if he passed to a guy who then gave a 3 point stance, dribbled left, and hit a jumper. Stars get the stats, period. No matter the name.
But yeah, this was kinda weird when you watch the play, then look at the play by play haha.

It's LeBron... he gets more hype than he deserves? he gets more stats then he actually got? He fouls a lot more than the amount of the whistle blown? He gets every call biased towards him? Well I never even noticed that

Darren Collison was also getting more than a few assists tacked on to his stats while he was playing. I'm sure it happens a lot. But this was just an outright error. Probably will be removed by the league, there's a screening process for this type of thing. It's irrelevant. If it was done at home it would be worth noting. Wasn't/isn't.
