Just saw an interview on ABC on George Karl. He looks bad and appears to have gained 20 years on his life. He meant soo much to the Nuggets but it sounds like he won't be back for a bit. They mention how his surgeries have at 90% success rate so that's good. Let's hope he can get back soon.

This leads to my question to everyone. The NBA and many other leagues have coaches that are getting sick and really old to be put into the busy schedules they are in. Throw out some names of coaches that need to retire. Not because they suck, because they have done what they can do, and need to finish it up a la Phil Jackson.

Its the cancer. It takes a toll on your body especially with all the treatments he has to go through.

Yeah, let's put you through chemotherapy and see how fast you age.

yea, chemotherapy kills the cancer, but your body takes a toll as well. ive heard some of the chemo treatments are pretty painful, and you can get some bad side effects. sounds like karl should make it through this cancer, so thats good news.
