not trying to bait or troll, but with the way miami heat have rolled over and played dead so far, why would wade not go somewhere else? the weather in miami is nice [and so is the nightlife], but is it that nice? would you go back there next year if you could go somewhere else?

because all of the scrubs who didnt provide him help will not be on the team next year the roster will be completely revamped. Including 1-2 allstar players to play along side him. Add that with the whole south fl weather, nightlife, blah blah blah and thats why he stays....hopefully.

I went to a Magic/Boston game on Christmas day and the Magic lost and there were the most cockiest Boston fans at the game. The stood in front the arena when everyone was leaving and chanted "Lets go Boston!". The funny thing was my dad said "Go to Boston!"

I hope they got jumped after I left.

miami is crap, but one thing about peopel in sports. they dont care about winning if it means costing $$$$. he will likely go where the money is or in this case miami. i have only seen maybe one player ever try to legitmiatly win at the cost of money. karl malone who went from 20 million to 800k.

I think Wade stays in Miami. The lifestyle there is good plus they have enough money to go out and get another player.

Only the most desperate of teams to win should even want to take a chance on the way too injury prone Wade. I believe he's had some type of injury in nearly every season in the league and I don't recall him ever playing a full 82 games yet. He is a huge risk for the money he will be commanding.

This sounds like the same calf strain he had before the all star break, and it caused him to leave a game back in February. That's a nagging injury for a young player.

Wade should stay. He already got use to losing. Why wouldn't a player want to get knocked out of the playoffs in the first round every year?

He loves the city. And he knows the team will have plenty of money this off-season to spend on a couple of good players.

They got some cap space and if they sign another significant player they may be able to convince him to stay. That and they can offer him more money than any other team.

If I were Wade I would stay where I was and try to build that team back into a contender. He has a luxry none of the other big name free agents have: He doesnt have to go chasing around for a ring. Wade has the potential to do something special: retire in the Jersey he started in. Guys like Reggie Miller, Stockton, Dumars, Robinson, they all have that something special with the city they played in, Wade coudl have that too, and unlike some guys like Garnett, Malone and Chamberlain, he doesnt have to jump ship to get one because he's already earned one there.

If titles are most important to him, he could jump ship and sign for a MLE on a contender (he's likely gets more from endorsements then over half the league gets to play basketball), but if money is important that he's better of staying in Miami.

miami is the type of city most nba players would like to live in. plus they have enough room to sign another star, which would make it difficult for wade to leave.

Every team has their ups and downs. Wade already won a Championship in Miami. This season was supposed to be nothing more than a bridge toward this 2010 Free Agency.

I'm not sure which team suffers the most if 2010 FA doesn't pan out; the Heat or Knicks.

DodgerBulls

because he can use a speedboat rather than taking a car where there is traffic?

So with the Heat having the capacity of signing more than 2 max agents, the city, loyalty of the organization to him and their willingness to show him that they can be a championship contender again after this summer, no tax, why would you leave such a city?

If Wade's gone in a S&T then the Heat might get something of value in return. They also still have their draft picks plus a future Raptor pick.

What happens to the Knicks? Maybe they try for Melo in 2011?

I think a big part of it is loyalty. I can appreciate that. He did say his heart was in Miami. And for those who say weather, I don't think that's as big a deal as some may think. During the NBA season you are on the road a lot anyways. During the offseason you can live wherever you want.

Why not just come to NY and immediately escalate his status to Lebron-ish levels. What's so fun about winning a championship people are just gonna forget about the following season?

cause you win it for yourself teammates and fans, that was a dumb comment,

evey team should just pack it in and , chi, la , nyk should have a triple threat match evry year:facepalm:

I'm being real. Players think about legacy, and Wade's chip is barely remembered. Not taking anything away from that Championship, but he could win one in NY that could easily trump anything Lebron wins in Cleveland if he choses to stay.

NY and LA, forget Chi, will always be the best places to win a chip and get maximum respect.

You can't argue that, so don't try.
