In an attempt to debate which the best team among arguably the 3 best numbers (#1, #3 & # 9) in the NBA I put together three teams with the best players who wear the respective numbers and ask the question…… Which team do you guys think is the best?

All Team # 1

C- Samuel Dalambert
PF- Amare Stoudemire
SF- Stephen Jackson
SG- Chauncey Billups
PG- Derek Rose

Bench

C- Ryan Hollins
PF- Ike Diogu
F/G- Trevor Ariza
G/F- Dahntay Jones
G- Baron Davis
G- Daniel Gibson
G- Jarrett Jack

All Team #3

C- Troy Murphy
PF- Gerald Wallace
SF- Jared Dudley
SG- Dwyane Wade
PG- Chris Paul

Bench

F/C-DJ White
G/F- Ime Udoka
G/F- Tracy McGrady (Yeah I know he’s always worn #1 but he wore it in NY and plus the #3s really need to size so I’ll include him for the sake of the discussion)
G-Allen Iverson
G-Rodney Stuckey
G- Brandon Jennings
G- George Hill
G-Ty Lawson

All Team # 9

C- DeAndre Jordan
PF- Rashard Lewis
SF- Luol Deng
SG- Andre Iguodala
PG- Rajon Rondo

Bench

PF/C- Chris Wilcox
PF- Yi Jianlian
PF- Jonathon Bender
PF- Serge Ibaka
SF- Yakhouba Diawara
SG- Ronnie Brewer
PG- Tony Parker

I really didn’t want to have to leave a guy like Roddy off the #3 team but I just had to and pick Udoka for size purposes. The reason I left Jordan Farmar is Chris Duhon off is OBVIOUS I mean it we wouldn’t be having this discussion if they were there. Nick Young was probably the biggest snub from the #1 team. #9 is hands down the biggest team and really only have one reliable 3 point shooter.

1 and 3 are both realllly close. Probably a slight edge to 3.

I initially just had them both but I just knew someone would come and say that 9 is the best so i just put them there for argument's sake but yeah I go 3 as well.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to have something like this for #'s that have a ton of players. Would be fun to see that. Lotta work though.

Team #1 but bench #3 could be a team by itself.

Why is Ben Wallace not the starting center for the #3 team?

Why is Ben Wallace not the starting center for the #3 team?

Because he wore number 6 all of last season

You should have a team for 1, another for 3, another for 7 combined with 9, another with the rest of the single digit numbers, another for 11-20, 21-30, 31-45, and 45+.
