[/B]How does the Draft affect your team? If the wolves get the #1 pick will they take Wall? If so Rubio and or flynn is available. If they take a big then Al Jefferson is on the block. Maybe the Warriors take Wall or Turner then Curry or Ellis can be had. If the Raptors get the 1st Overall pick does Bosh stay put? How does this help or hurt your team? Discuss...

now way raptors get the 1st pick even if they do they have to trade it to make bosh happy cause i dont think he wants to wait for wall or turner to develop

Unfortunately the Suns FO will be taking a day off that day.

However, Wolves should draft Turner. Nets are getting the number 1 pick.

if you are a bad team, you draft best available, period. If the Wolves get the #1 pick, they take Wall, and trade Flynn or Sessions or both. If the Nets get him, trade Harris. Basically, getting that pick gives a lot of flexibility. It allows a team like the Wolves to either trade Rubio's rights next summer if they wish, or let Rubio and Wall player together. If the Wolves get the #2 pick, they take Turner, and keep Rubio. If they get screwed, they trade Jefferson for that pick for example.
Getting the top pick doesnt automatically turn your team around. But it can be a huge chip, even if the consensus player at that spot is something you already have. Lets be honest. A 15 win team doesnt draft for need. Cause they have TONS of needs

Raps have a 6/1000 chance of getting the #1 pick in the draft :(

Well Chicago had triple the chance of getting the #1 in 2008 comparing to Toronto's next year odds..but I hear what you're saying.

I think Sacramentos pretty happy with the way last years lottery/draft went down :p

I dont really get this thread though, isnt draft strategy pretty obvious.. Can the draft really hurt a team?

It can emotionally if you pick a guy like Darko instead of some of the other options.

They still gained a player.. Aside from a bad trade or something of the sort I dont see how the draft can hurt a team.. If your team is hurt emotionally, due to a draft pick, enough to effect their play.. Youve got bigger problems
