Which player(s) do you think will breakout during these playoffs?

It doesn't necessarily have to be a young player. A breakout player, in my opinion, could also be an older player who you think will bring his game to a higher level than his regular season performance indicated. E.g., if you believe Kevin Garnett will return to superstar form or if you think Grant Hill or Richard Jefferson will play like all-stars again.

Last year Rajon Rondo and Aaron Brooks brought their games to different levels during the playoffs.

This year I think Russell Westbrook's game will rise to stardom, and not just because he'll be guarded by Derek Fisher. I think he'll average well over 20 ppg during the Lakers series, and I wouldn't be surprised if he averages 25 ppg and 8 apg. I also think Rudy Fernandez is going to have a big series against the Suns.

Both of those players are likely to only play one series, but I think it will carry over to next year. For Rudy, however, it depends on his playing time.

Who do you think will breakout during the 2010 playoffs?

Wes Matthews!

I thought about him but haven't really seen him play enough to be sure. With Brewer in Memphis and Kirilenko out for the series, he'll certainly get an opportunity.

Yeah, I really think his matchup on JR+double A is the 2nd most important for the series

Rudy Fernandez will due to the injury to Roy. A lot of Portland players could also break out. I could also see Bayless and Webster having a good series.

Homer pick: Jared Dudley/Goran Dragic :)

alot of blazers players have an opportunity to step up big time against phoenix. rudy and bayles in particular could play major roles in this series. both players have shown flashes of their talent, but if they were able to put up a good series, it could go along way towards those players gaining more confidence for next season.
