Duncan has 37,700 minutes of wear on his legs and had to carry the Spurs through the regular season once again. I think he'll go into serious decline next year and I think Richard Jefferson is a major reason why.

Dude... you mentioned the real reason of his imminent decline right next to your idea of the thing that will send Duncan into a decline.

Duncan is getting old, simple as that. But since he relies more on fundamentals than most people his game still has longer longlivity.

All fundamentals team:

Billups
Kobe
Pierce
Duncan
Dirk

All these players are funamentally sound...that's why they are so good after so many years.

its not jefferson's fault at all. the fact that duncan is aging will efffect his play. but, i will never count out a spurs team that has tim d leading the squad. i really like how consistent he has been throughout his career. people discounting the spurs are making a mistake because any team with duncan has a chance to make a good run in the playoffs.
