Just thought it might be fun to see what everyone thinks the playoff teams will be in a couple of years. What teams will improve with the next draft. What teams are destined for failure.

Here are my teams with some player notes:

Western Conference:
1- OKC (too good too young)
2- Clippers (Win lotto to take Wall)
3- Lakers (Getting older but still good)
4- Minnesota (Evan Turner, Rubio...)
5- GS Warriors (Adding Favors to Randolph on front line)
6- Sacramento Kings (my team-homer pick)
7- Houston Rockets (Yao's injury keeps from better year)
8- New Orleans

Eastern Conference
1- Chicago- (Great mix of young and old)
2- Orlando- (Howards 87% FT shooting...unstoppable)
3- NY Knicks (LeBron in NY, but injuries to Boozer and Joe Johnson hurt)
4- Milwakee (Xavier Henry and Jennings backcourt)
5- NJ Nets (Bosh and Lopez formidabble front court, but need help)
6- Pacers (still looking for a PG)
7- Atlanta (Bibby Getting old and no Joe Johnson)
8- Pistons (would be higher, but Cousins a bust)

I threw in the Lebron to NY idea, though I really don't think it will happen, just to stir the pot a little...

So many jokesters... is ANYONE else intrigued by how much the NBA is changing over the next couple of years. There are so many teams loaded with young talent and so many teams with multiple draft picks coming up.

Then there's the free agency money issue and the "greatest" free agent class yet.

This is a historic moment in the NBA when things will change drastically within a year.

the sad part is the east is just so bad that with one or two players the knicks can actually make a run (assuming they get stars, and other teams lose their free agent starts)

If the free agency market this summer wasn't so huge then I could see the debate. But come on man...so many top players in the class this summer. Fail.

Agree with everyone about the thread. There is just no way of knowing the 2012 landscape now. Go ask Cleo.

If there is a time for threads like this, it's late August, and not on the brink of the postseason.

I'm going to close it for that reason. Let's please try to keep things focused on the matters at hand, everyone. Thank you.
