View Full Version : Best player since the all star break

I was wondering who everyone thought the best player since the all star break. I have to be a little bit of a homer and say Amar'e has to be up there, but it is not completely without reason. You also have Durrant that has been spectacular all year long.

Still curious who you guys would say..

Also please do not put Monta Ellis. I am tired of hearing about him.. Way overrated.

Are you making this thread in hopes of people saying Amar'e?

Acctually not at all. I was actually wondering who the best person after the all star break was. Like Manu.

When making a comment. Why dont you atleast put your answer instead of just assuming everyone on psd is a homer. For that buddy I will reply back with the

Amare has been good, not the best. I think you could argue that all of the players above him on that list had better second halves than him.

Amare's been the best player for a team thats been on fire since the break. It's been Amare clearly. This thread however was a waste.

Agreed, btw Lebron and Dwight's per game avgs are skewed because they usually sit in the 4th due to blowouts (Orlando has beaten their opponents by 15+ pts 26 times this season [most of those in the second half]).

I would agree with this completely. Rose has been great for the bulls, and would have no chance for a playoff spot if it was not for him.

Manu is the same way. The Spurs found themselves without hope and falling quickly in the west until Manu started tearing it up.

Bogut was the main reason the Bucks where even winning games, but it was the addition of Salmons that pushed them over the edge.

The Suns would be no where without Amar'e, but at the same time I do not think Amar'e would have been this good without Robin Lopez pushing him over the top, and allowing him to focus more on offence.

Durrant has been... Well Durrant. He has been non stop all year. It wasn't just after the all star break. He has a nice young team around him, that give full hustle and heart every game.

Curry has been amazing too in the second half of the season. The more games that I have watched. I see less and less of a reason to keep Ellis. I actually think they should try and trade Ellis to Philly for Andre. I think Andre would be a better fit next to curry.

Bogut?

Averaging a double double with 3 blocks a game and took the most charges in the league. Guy was an absolute BEAST. I realize it's not as pretty as 26ppg, but he was arguably the best defensive player in the league post all star break along with Howard, and along with Salmons was carrying their team to the playoffs -- so yeah -- I've got Bogut right there. Like I said though, it's arguable.
