If you had to pinpoint the Best 3 year stretch for your franchise's history?

What years would you choose?

For the Bulls it comes down to 1991-1993 or 1996-1998

For a team like the Lakers they could say 2000-2002, or the something like 1985-1987 or 1986-1988 or 1987-1989 or something like that.

For the Heat it could be 2005-2007 or 1997-1999

For the Rockets it would be either 1993-1995 or 1994-1996.

For the Pistons it would be 1988-1990 or 1989-1991 or 2004-2006.

What would you say was the best 3 year stretch for your franchise's history?

I'm going to take a pass on the "best" Lakers 3 year period and let others respond to that.

I will say that the 3-year period that I'm enjoying is the current one:

2007/2008 - Finals appearance, loss to the Celtics
2008/2009 - Finals appearance, Championship
2009/2010 - ???

No, it's not the best ever, but it is the only thing happening in any sport for me right now. The Raiders and A's have been fairly quiet.

Nets won 2 of three titles from 74-76 but I wasn't around for that so I'll say 02-04. 0-2 in the finals but man was Kidd good

2000-2002 Championships were better than any specific three year stretch in the 80's.

I couldn't care less what you think about it, that brand of puerile humor would only appeal to daft individuals such as yourself... To dumb it down for your level of comprehension; just because a couple of idiots laugh, doesn't make it any less pathetic.

Perhaps, but there's no need to label anyone an "idiot" who find the joke funny. Certainly, you cannot find it funny because you're the person who is being jabbed at. Therefore, your perspective of how "pathetic" the joke is depends on how biased you are.

My team the Blazers, is a pretty tough decision, because on one hand you have from 1977-1980.

Even though the third year in that span they were bounced from the playoffs in the first round in 1977 they won their only championship.

However the period from 1989 to 1992 might be just as good if not better even though they didn't win a title during that span. They averaged 60 wins a year during that period and went to the Finals twice, losing once to the Pistons and once to MJ and the Bulls. Still impressive.

For what I've personally witnessed it was from 1998-2000. Twice going to the WCFs (including an epic game 7 vs. the Lakers), including both those years having a win percentage above .700.

Portland's is tough because you could go from 1977-1979, or 1990-1992

I don't think 1998-2000 was good. They only made the conference finals once.

the 1998-2000 was the best 3 year stretch I've seen.

But they made the WCFs twice, the year against the lakers but also the year before that against the Spurs I believe, during the lockout shortened season...
