Ricky Rubio or Stephen Curry

this.

ricky rubio will retire as the all time leading assist man and will go down as the greatest passer ever. im drooling over what he will do in a bigger more open NBA court. True pass first point guard. He'll be the type of player that can win a game without even taking a shot

seriously though...my top 3 choices are CP3, Dwill, or Darren Collison...Collison averaged 19pts and 9 assists this year whenever he played 30+ minutes. that dude is a beast. if he wasn't stuck behind Chris Paul, he would be the favorite for ROY ahead of Tyreke Evans.

hoopsguy820
04-12-2010, 08:56 PM
D-ROSE!! yes it's biased but he's the best true scorer out of any of those guys and the only arguement to that is Curry who isn't exactly a TRUE point. D-Rose can get to the basket nearly whenever he wants and his jump shot is improving every game. Not disrespect to the D-Will, CP3, and Westbrook cuz their all sick and could very well be argued. But Derrick Rose just doesn't seem to have a ceiling!

yeah, because there's nothing better than a rookie who's given the complete green light because the starting superstar point guard is out and leads the team to the lottery. I mean, why would you not choose him? I mean clearly he's the better choice than the PG he replaced who essentially led mostly the same team to the playoffs the past two years. Collison is clearly the choice here.

I would want a true PG, not a scorer. That eliminates Steph Curry, Tyreke Evans, and Brandon Jennings.

I want a guy that can shoot open 3s. That eliminates Rose and Rondo.

I want a guy that has played in the NBA before. That eliminates Rubio and John Wall (if someone wnats Rubio I bet someone will say Wall eventually).

I want a young guy. So no Kidd, Nash, Billups, etc.

That leaves D-Will and CP3. I take D-Will by a long shot.

wtf?
i just gave an opinion and i chose collison.
and i somehow hurt your feelings?

how do you know how good he could be in years to come....who knows..he could be better then paul.
hes posting better numbers when hes a starter then paul did in his rookie year

I disagree. I want guys that can be dominate w/out scoring (I want defense, passing, and open 3s from the PG). I don't need great scorers. I think those guys are at their best when they are able to go score.

Chris Paul. I don't see how it would even be an argument aside from Deron Williams.

Steph Curry is the only reason I watch the Warriors now (besides the playoff run, but not that case). I'm indeed not a homer, nor a fan, but Steph Curry has one of the best passing skills in the NBA. He has great vision for where players are at, and he is able to penetrate and kick out, in a bizarre way.

But back on topic, I agree with you, Rubio will be the most entertaining guys and the person to lead the highlights. I also agree, that he can dish out an incredible amount of assists, win the game without scoring a point.

i think there are some people that unconsciencely say that Stephen Curry is just a shooter becuz thats what he was in college, and he showed slim flashes of his passing brilliance. i remember when bobby knight said stephen curry was the best passer in college basketball i thought that was a stupid statement. but im telling ya. stephen curry is just as good a passer as he is a shooter.
