View Full Version : What would you rather have?

I've been watching a lot of Steph Curry ever since his JR. year of college and this kid is going to be a great player. I also hear all of this praise for John Wall, Turner and all these other guys. With this said, I ask you all this question:

What would you rather have, Stephen Curry or this upcoming drafts #1 overall pick?

Tough question, but we already know Steph Curry is a heck of a player and he fits in well with the current Warriors system, so I'll go with Steph.

Gosh. That's tough. I think I'd have to take the sure thing, but Turner and Wall are both exciting prospects. I think me as a fan says Curry, but if this is hypothetical like were I in charge of an NBA team, I'd have to take what I know in Curry.

I was a Curry hater...but I'm a huge Wall hater. At least Curry has proven he can ball with the big boys. That's good enough for me now.

I'm gonna say wall. I love Steph's game but Evans, Fynn and Rubio were picked before him so there's no way I'm gonna pass up on Wall. Now if you want Devin Harris for him we can exchange picks also.

Well, Curry has proven to be great in the NBA. He is with the Warriors so there is a slight * IMO, but he's still tearing it up. Toss up.

04-12-2010, 05:10 PM
steph cuz he already proved that he can play well in the nba

04-12-2010, 05:11 PM
Stephen Curry is much much much better then anyone in the upcoming draft.

04-12-2010, 05:24 PM
I'd take the #2 pick over Curry.

04-12-2010, 05:26 PM
Rather have Wall/Turner

04-12-2010, 05:27 PM
lol you all are gonna be changing your mind after next season..

obviously you'll choose curry over an unproven player but i think the risk would be worth it in the end

04-12-2010, 05:27 PM
Curry has proven he can play in this league. While both Wall and Turner have superstar capabilities, we just don't know. I rather be safe and go with what is certain.

Curry over Wall, really? No disrespect to Curry, he has had a solid rookie campaign, but Wall is one of those once a decade type prospects. Not only would i take Wall over Curry, but I'd take him over Tyreke, Jennings, or Griffin for that matter. Furthermore, given the option, I think every single NBA GM would take Wall.

First pick no question.

Very surprised by the poll results so far. For me its the #1 pick this year -- hands down.

04-12-2010, 05:54 PM
I would take Wall or Turner over Curry, and maybe even Cousins and Favors. So no, there is no way I would trade the #1 pick for Curry

04-12-2010, 06:10 PM
#1 pick

04-12-2010, 06:13 PM
simply put, is there anyone out there that thinks the Warriors wouldn't trade Curry for the #1 pick??

04-12-2010, 08:04 PM
The warriors would not take the 1st pick over steph. i guarantee that

04-12-2010, 08:11 PM
Rather have a top 4 pick in this draft than Curry

04-12-2010, 08:11 PM
curry suprised me this year, i thought it would take him a while 2 develop but hes proved me wrong

04-12-2010, 08:41 PM
Anyone who is saying they would take Cousins over Curry is ridiculous. The guy can't even get in game-shape during his college years, I don't even want to see him in 5 years.

Wall has all the tools to be special, Turner not as much. Curry is a stat sheet filler, I just do not think he could ever be the focal point of a championship team. With that said, either can wall. Think about past PG's that have been the main contributor of a championship winning team.

Kidd and Nash, two of the greatest PG's some of us will ever see never won titles. Wall will be fun to watch and definitely be on a few all-star game rosters but I do not see him becoming a superstar in this league. Chris Paul and Deron Williams will have better career's than he will have because they are better fundamentally.(Yes, Wall has a ton of time to grow but players who are already good, like he is, rarely change the way they play the game) There are people as athletic as Wall though, he isn't like LeBron.(something nobody had ever seen before.)

Taking Curry over Wall is not as ludicrious as some are making it out to be but I, too, think I would take John Wall if given the chance. Curry though, is not a bad consolation prize.

Stephen Curry

The warriors would not take the 1st pick over steph. i guarantee that

Wall, Turner, are better prospects. Curry has proven he will be a constant threat as a shooter. But what else? I would not trade a top 3 pick in this years draft for Curry.

04-12-2010, 11:02 PM
I would take the #1 pick. It's a big gamble, but it could be a tremendous reward cuz Wall has superstar potential.

04-12-2010, 11:33 PM
I'm on the Curry bandwagon, so I take Curry.

04-12-2010, 11:35 PM
im kinda doubting on whether or not youve guys seen curry play. hes like steve nash with great defese
