Which statement can you make more of a case for:

Jason Kidd is the greatest point guard of all time

or

Tim Duncan is the greatest big man of all time

Duncan would be more reasonable, Kidd is not even top 3. Either way, both statements are false.

Duncan's closer to being the G(big man)OAT, he's accomplished alot and his stats have consistently been among the elite in the league.

Kidd is the least absurd. When you compare Kidd's career to Magic, its atleast possible to make the argument about Kidd based on his longjevity and the fact he wasn't 6'9 like Magic so he didn't have a huge size advantage against his competition. Then when you add in he was still very productive despite losing most of his speed and athleticism he had when he was in Phoenix.

Duncan isn't the best big man of all time, there isn't really even an excuse you can make for it. Wilt, Hakeem, Kareem, Shaq, etc. He eats at the table of great big men but those 4 get the big pieces of chicken, and even the small wings. Duncan has to split the coleslaw with KG and fight Barkley for the biscuit.

There's no way anyone even compares Kidd to Magic. Duncan has led his team to 4 NBA titles, won two MVPs, Finals MVPs, etc. To the best of my knowledge, Kidd hasn't come close to an MVP award and certainly doesn't have a Finals MVP.

By the way, Duncan is light years ahead of Barkley in almost every way. Best PF of all-time, IMO.
