LMFAO he was begging for the offensive rebound on the 2nd FT. Hey idiot... maybe you should tell your teammate to miss the FT next time. That was hilarious tho.

04-05-2010, 04:28 PM
What a loser!!! I cant believe he is a pro. He surely doesn't have a bright future in nba. First, disrespect a well respected coach, and now this childish ****...No team will try to offer him something when he becomes a free agent. A perfect chemistry destroyer!

Hustla23
04-05-2010, 04:29 PM
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

WOW !

He tried for 3 minutes straight to get a rebound. LMAO

I actually felt kind of bad for him at the end there.

He was running up the court with the ball to try to miss and get the rebound like his freedom was at stake or something...

And the bastard Nets wouldn't even let him have it LMAOOO

Sorry, this video just cracked me up unbelievably hahah.

As a pathetic Net fan I will tell you that you don't need to ask Yi to get a rebound you can just take it. Yi seems to speak English at a pretty good clip, but the words 'box-out', 'defense' and 'catch' do not reside anywhere in his vocabulary.

But they didn't get Blatche for him. They still got awful value for Jamison. Oh I know that lol, no doubt Al Thornton is crap compared to Jamison. But they made the trade to get cap space and out of Jamison's contract. So they accomplished that and now Blatche is emerging as a good player.

Oh cmon, give the guy a ****ing break.

He is in his breakout season, he is on one of the worst teams in the league, and he has never got a triple double before I believe. I'd do the same ****ing thing if all I needed was one rebound and the game was already wrapped up.

Its not like he was doing it at the expense of his teams success, so I see no problem with it.

SpeeMN
04-07-2010, 08:14 AM
That was the most EFFORT i've seen by an NBA player in a very long time. It was good to see a player care for once, even if it was for his own personal reasons. I don't think he's a bad guy for feeling the freedom to show everyone how much he wanted it. Anyone would have wanted that that bad! If he is mad at his PG for grabbing that rebound instead of himself, then he's a douchebag.
Otherwise, it was good to see some emotion... someone sprinting up and down the court without the ball.....And trying like hell to grab every rebound. Reminded me of college ball.

This is why youngsters shouldnt grow up hearing how cool triple doubles are, would 1 rebound really change the game he just had, but noooo too many people think a Jason Kidd 16-16-16 game is so rare that its the best thing ever. What matters is the totality of your game, not some meaningless digit all around. Im not saying to stop tracking double doubles, and triple doubles, but we should stop putting so much importance on them. It only leads to this ignorance.

PBG
04-07-2010, 11:49 AM
lol, i would do the same thing as blatche, the people saying that it was dumb and what not are the same people that wouldnt even come remotely close in their lifetime to getting a tripple double in ANY organized game.

Completely agree with you. This concurring emphasis on stats astounds me at times.

One of the reasons why football (soccer) is much more popular worldwide as well. It's a simple game with only one statistical digit that matters: number of goals. The overall performance of the player is for the audience to judge and not for stats to dictate.

I had Blatche on my fantasy team and he was a stud. Pathetic to see him running around like a high school kid trying to get his tenth rebound though. I wouldn't even do that in 2k10 :)

Thats kind of why I shied away from it, soccer is simple but hard to measure, kind of like Football. Baseball is soo easy to measure that its boring, basketball has the perfect mixture. Its not impossible but not an exact science either.

My entire family plays and follows the sport, and they tell me there are a bunch of stats coming out. Like missed tackles, miles ran, stuff like that.

Exactly, you don't have to keep track of numbers to know how good a player is. It's like taking out all stats from bball but points: we would still think LBJ was the best player in the league today, wouldn't we?

I'm seeing a lot of new stats coming out in today's game like you've said and, well, they do help analyze a player or team's game but even commentary on the game is restricted to performance on the field rather than some statistical digit like right passes, tackles missed, etc.
