Sorry if this thread has been started before, but if Lebron James retires right now, do you think he'd be a 1st ballot HOF?
Just curious, because I dont think he would be 1st ballot.

I got this idea from NBA 2k10..the announcers said it lol

when his career is all said and done, I believe he will make 1st ballot HOF.

If he retired right now, I don't think he should make it but he probably would. When it's all said and done though, he will be a first ballot HOF.

If he retired right now no. Look at his overall numbers compared to people that he would be in competition with.

His first 7 seasons have been as individually good as the first 7 seasons of any player in the history of the game except for possibly Jordan, and even MJ didn't win his first title until his 7th season when he was 27 years old.

That's all that matters. A hypothetical retirement isn't worth discussing. He's going to go down as an all time great, and will obviously be a 1st ballot HOFer.

Horry = 7 rings. Definitely HOF worthy. Oh yeah.

Exactly, he's just a laker homer / Lebron hater. Natural around these parts.

John Stockton: Rings = 0. / thread!

... oh wait, he's a first ballot HOFer... nevermind.

Boom. Roasted.

On a side-note, that /thread sign will soon become more overused than  at this rate...

If you get an MVP award, you make the HOF, plain and simple.

Haha while I do agree with you guys, Stockton's resume is far more impressive than Lebrons.

Yeah no doubt, but the guy played 12 more years than Lebron has so far. All I'm saying is, the no ring debate doesn't hold any weight if you're good enough.

Also, Lebron's already had multiple single seasons better than Stockton's best years. And will have 2 MVP's after this season. In 19 years Stockton only had 2 All NBA 1st team selections.

Lebron's well on his way to first ballot, and honestly probably would be even if he went blind tomorrow and couldn't play another game. ... Though he'd still probably be better than Chris Duhon, I'm sure someone could find him a roster spot.

"/Thread!" haha, agreed with you HoopsDrive there that that **** is pretty annoying. Especially after it follows a dumb statement!
