Just noticed what hes been doing lately with the Clippers, hes averaging 15/10 this month but in his last 5 games hes averaged 17/12.

Do you think any team will offer him the Full MLE to sign him this offseason? Or do you think he'll get veterans minimum offers like he did last offseason?

28 isn't to old, maybe like a 1 year 2-3mil contract. Its the number of teams that hes been on that makes him seem so much older.

Sheed got the Full MLE with Boston and hes been washed up for the last 2 seasons.

There is just something about Gooden that hes missing to being respected as a PF, hes the definition of a journeyman basketball player, but he has talent which keeps him around in the league but there is something about him that doesn't allow him to stick with a team.

Hes been awesome for us and Id seriously consider resigning him for the MLE if I were the Clips. That is if we know for sure we arent getting a bigtime FA.

Why is anyone even surprised by his play. Drew Gooden was/is no scrub. When given the minutes he produced at a high level. He is just one of those unlucky players who may never find his true home.

I think you're confusing Drew Gooden with Mike James. Mike James has been around forever in the NBA.

A poster on here told me how Mike James inspired Bob Cousy to play basketball.

It's obvious that he's out there playing for a contract. He was quoted many times saying he's interested in playing for _____ team.

He said he likes Dallas would love to return next year. also wouldn't mind staying with Clippers, and right after last night's game against the bucks, he says he's interested in joining the bucks since they're young and winning. haha

Drew Gooden is a bum... Take it from a Cavs fan.

He might put up solid numbers on a lottery team, but he would crumble if he had to start for a contender or even a playoff team.

The guys fits in best with teams as about the 3rd/4th player off the bench.

Wilt Chamberlin is one of Mike James's kids.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got a decent pay day from some team that misses out on signing their big name FA and panics.

He should just retire, before he gets traded to another 2+ teams next season.

I can definitely see him getting the MLE now that he has been playing well for the clippers. He is that type of player that isn't a star in the NBA, but can be a legit NBA player when being given a big role.

Gooden is a solid role player on any team that most teams either want or don't need. Thats the reason why he gets traded so much.

As for his contract, he'll get paid. Especially if some teams miss out on free agents.

It seems like he had all the potential when he came into the league on the Cavs. Then he just disappeared. He's 28, I bet he is in his PRIME right now! And I'm not talking about his talent level, its more about his maturity. He has probably finally become a MAN. And you need to be a MAN in the NBA or else go home son.

So as for money, i don't see why 3 million a year is overpaying a double double guy.
