Denver, don't worry, Orlando will beat Dallas also on Thursday to even things up in the race for the #2 seed.

OP you should put all their remaining schedules up too, Denver and Phoenix have it a lot tougher than Utah and Dallas

I like the Nuggets to get the 2 seed, although I wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs got it.

Based on the schedules, I think it'll end up like this:

2 Utah
3 Phoenix
4 Dallas
5 Denver

denvers defense looked rough with out Kmart. I think Dallas.

Utah's only tough game is LA on the road, I think they'll be money at home for the rest of the season and take OKC and PHX on their second night of a back to back that probably keeps them from getting homecourt. I think my only other worry is the Houston road game, we usually trip up on a road trip and that looks the likeliest place.

I think the Jazz go 6-2

robin lopez will be back in the lineup by the denver game against the suns.

What the heck? Today is a huge factor in deciding the outcomes.

Phoenix has been winning. Denver and Dallas have been slumping. Its going to go down to the wire. Only 1 game seperates the 5th seed to the 2nd.

Dallas has a pretty easy go for the most part. So does Utah. Phoenix could easly win almost all of there games also. Denver's schedule on the other hand is brutal. I think they end up droping a few spots.

2. Utah
3. Dallas
4. Phoenix
5. Denver

I wouldn't be suprised if Denver fell to 4th.

I obviously think Dallas will beat Denver tonight, Dallas has been waiting for this game all season long. (they only play them once in Dallas)

Utah has the easiest schedule but you never know how they'll do.

1. LA
2. Dallas
3. Utah
4. Denver

I guess we can only agree on Magic issues... LOL

I am hoping for the Mavs to end up at 2nd... If not them, I would want the Jazz rather than the Nuggets...

I think the Jazz will finish 2nd and the Nuggs 4th. It pains me to say it.

3. Phoenix
4. Dallas
5. Denver
6. San Antonio
7. Oklahoma City.

Dallas and Denver have tough schedules..I wouldn't be suprised if San Antonio caught Denver for the 5 seed either

Dallas is blowing out Denver right now ;) with this win they'll have a 2 game lead, plus the tie breaker.

what happens if two teams are tied in wins at the end of the season, and the season series is also tied?

I think whoever has the better division record and then if it's still tied it's who ever has the better conference record

Denver is currently 5th in the west right now...if Phoenix continues to play well and Denver continues to play like this, Denver could end up being the 5th seed.

Also if Denver get's 4th and Phoenix get's 5th (or flip flopped) I could see the Suns upsetting the Nuggets with their style of play.

Utah has the tie breaker over Dallas, but if all three are tied Denver have the tiebreaker on Utah which means they have to be top 3 as they win the NW, and Dallas takes 2nd as they have the tiebreaker on Denver.

I am so glad the Mavs won the game!!! It's a great day for PSD! The Nuggets are at the 5th seed! It is going to be a while for some of the Nugget fans to be posting homer stuff like they are the only legit team in the west that can beat the Lakers! Let's go Suns and Utah! I hope you guys keep rolling as well!

Denver or Utah, but not with the way Denver is playing right now.

Could be Utah. No one is talking about them. Even with Deron Williams playing better than just about anyone else right now.

^nobody ever talks about Utah so we're used to it by now

and yes, Deron Williams in his last 5 has averaged 21 points 13 assists 5 boards and 2 steals

It's okay, you guys can be like the Magic of last season, no one even mentioned us when talking about the East powers (Cleveland and Boston), we ended up upsetting both of them.

Very true... People always assume that the Nuggets are sure to be on the top of your divison by the end of the season... The Jazz are legit... Especially when AK is injury free and doing well... I think the Jazz has a legit chance on being on the second seed as well but I am hoping that you guys could just stay at the 3rd and give the 2nd seed to the Mavs! :D

That was fun! I remember us always getting into an argument with Cavs fans because they won't give the Magic the respect that they deserve... Well, that's what you get when you think so highly of your team and underestimate your opponents!

why would you presume denver would be top? If we win the NW this season that would have been 3 times out of 4 years. A big reason we didnt win it last year was because Deron and Boozer didnt play together until March. And if you hadnt noticed, Deron and Carlos are a big part of this team.

Hey! Not me! After the non-stop injuries that the Blazers suffered and derailed them from actually competing to the fullest extent, I started rooting for you guys to win that division now!
