And with the matchup against Cleveland, finally everyone is taking notice. When he is healthy he is one of the most exciting players...even at 31 years old he looks spry and young out there.

Sorry for the homer post, but Manu still remains criminally underrated at this point of his career. I just want to put it out there that he is playing as high a level as the Kobes, Wades, Roys and Durants lately.

I'm not kidding.

I've always known Manu wasn't washed up, just waiting for him to get healthy really. And now that he is, he is having a great stretch where the Spurs need him to have one with no Parker.

He's been playing like this since the All Star break.

This is his last yr with the Spurs. He'll sign with the Lakers if he's smart. He and Lamar would be our main bench players.

wasnt he playing with an injury?

He was injured last year, and wasnt right in the beginning. Now he said he is physically and mentally at a 100%.

Only SG's I would take over a healthy Manu right now is Kobe and Wade..and possibly Roy.

Well, people who were being realistic were thinking that he wouldn't fully recover or that he'd be on his last legs. There has been a number of superstars who've not been looking like themselves after being hurt various times, but there are not many of them who have just became completely washed up as a result. Guys like Tmac and Grant Hill are not the same as they once were, but they aren't washed up either. Despite them being on their last legs, they have still have been showing that they still have something left.

Ginobli still got a lot in the tank. Dude still does things that would surprise a few people.

if he was willing to sign for a portion of the mle with the lakers why wouldnt he just stay at SA, even though its not even close to winning a title?

Yup, definitely not washed up. He's still a high scoring energetic guy. The thing I like most about him from the last game he faced the Raps is his hustle. He shows he wants to win and hustles his *** off to get boards, and make plays. I wish Hedo Turkoglu was more like Manu :cry:

i hate how he plays ...
when he dribbles with those huge strides....just waiting for anyone to breathe on him for him to flop...

Wishful thinking on some folks part.

I wouldn't mind it, won't happen but it would be an even trade off to have Manu come to LA and win a ring or 2 like Horry did over there.

Manu when he is on **** is the 3rd best shooting guard in the NBA and was the second best the year Wade was lottery bound. Everyone knows his talent, just question his health.

Correction: Injured. It's like saying Darren Collison was the second best pg after D-Will because CP3 was injured.

Last night he was spectacular. It may be my biased homer opinion, but when he is on top of his game...he is the most fun player to watch in this league.

How long he could play on this level and stay healthy? Even 1 more season seems pretty doubtful... Still i have to admit that he is pretty dangerous at the moment. For sure top5 SG in the league right now!

I agree. Manu also led his team against my Lakers the other week. From what I am seeing, Parker seems to be more washed up (and injured) that Manu. When healthy, Manu can do anything.

Parker is playing hurt, not washed up. He was playing hurt all season until he went out for this final stretch.

A healthy Manu is a dangerous sign for other contenders. Spurs have always been a boring team to me, but playoff is when they start putting everything together. Is Tony Parker done for the season? If they get him back in the playoffs and Manu stays healthy, watch out league!

Manu's always been extremely erratic. Doubt he keeps it up.

I think Manu still has it. He's still got the quickness and ability to get to the hoop. He just can't maintain it for an entire year.

I think he's gonna have a huge playoffs, even if it's just a first round and out...he'll be impressive.

Back Spasms

Not a big deal really. Lots of players sit out games with "back spasms" and just need rest. And it's a game against the Nets. The Nets.

Severity of back spasms will vary but if they dont go away they completely alter a perimeter players game. Kobe tried to play through them once and became a turnover machine but they passed with a few weeks of rest, but there are those grave scenarios like the one that ended Birds career prematurely and robbed Tmac of his prime.

Lets hope its not too serious but are you really surprised it happened to Manu?

No, but I still don't think it's anything to worry about. He's been carrying the Spurs for weeks now, the old guy needs some rest.
