Half way house = house with inmates who spend the day doing whatever they want on work release

he should have not even been into a trial as long as he had the papers that allowed him to carry the gun.

I think having guns is allowed by the " i dont know what number" ammend?

If he woudl ahve fired that woudl have been another thing.

Thought it would turn out like this, no sane judge would give him jail time for a prank with UNLOADED guns.

He should of gotten jail time. However this cant compare to what Plax did because he took a loaded gun into a club filled with people and ended up shooting himself. At least Gil was smart enough to keep them unloaded.

So, he'll be starting on the Wizards next season I assume?

He didn't deserve jailtime. Should have been handled in house.

And Plax brought a LOADED gun into a crowed CLUB and shot himself in the leg. How is this the same?

Felony.................................

He should have gotten at least 2 1/2 years. I also think Plax should have gotten more than what he actually got.

These superstar athletes get away with everything in the court system. It's the main time I shake my head at the criminal justice system of our country.

if this was average joe bringing a gun into an arena, he would have gotten a much stiffer penalty. its patheic that famous people and athletes get a break from the court system due to their wealth.

Not surprised. Had a round gone off, different story. Or if, say, it was you or I facing those charges, we'd get jail time. :bla:

Wonder what it says, though, about gun laws in general? I like my Constitutional right to bear arms, and I'm not even a Conservative.

We need less minorties in Jail...

This was not only a win for Gilbert Arenas, and his family, but a win for the Justice System

I'm happy for Gilbert. Going to jail would in my eyes completely destroy his career. Now, he is eligible for summer ball and with new ownership in WAS, I think he can have a nice revival back there. I'll be rooting for him

its amazing how gilbert can act like a gangster running around with guns, but when it comes time serve time like a real gangster he turns into a suite and tie wearing citizen of good nature. candy *** *****,

i hope they take all your money away. am i hater ? yes i ham. i hate cowards. i hope someone pistol whips Gilbert in the real streets of D.C

Not suprised at all, and those who think Arenas is getting better treatment is absurd.

If it was anybody else that did this, they would be serving time.

who ever says he deserves jail time is a idiot..... it was a funny joke in the heat of a argument the court system knows he wasnt gonna kill nobody with that amount of money coming to him a average joe you dont know if he will kill somebody.....plaxico could of killed people but instead shot himself i still think shooting yourself is enough punishment they should of just took his gun rights away, hes gonna get called cheddar bob when he comes back until he retires

I don't think he had a concealed license. And it's the 2nd amendment.

You can't pay your way out of prison time. Bail only works for jail.
