You're making millions, padding your stats incredibly on a horrible, horrible team for a bigger paycheque, and above all playing a game for a career.

And still guys find a way to **** it up.

Good. Bench him for the rest of the season. Then my waiver wire pickup of Javale McGee will pan out after all. Woop woop.

But seriously, not willing to listen to defensive input from your coach and pouting on the bench instead of going back in while your team is actually in a game where they could snap a huge losing streak? I would, without a doubt, bench him for the remainder of the season. It can only increase your odds of success next year, and it sends a message that that bull **** won't be tolerated.

He is easily the Wizard's best player right now and almost everything is ran through him. Why would he not listen to the coach's advice [or pretend at least] and then refuse to go back into the game? I could see 4th quarter in a blowout, but this is the 1st Q and they needed him. I hope he knows that hes not a superstar and how if he played on a decent team he might not even be starting.

And to think so many people had so much bad stuff to say about Kevin Garnett when he got into Blatche's head that one game, but obviously Blatche is a problem, to himself and his team.

The part where Flip says Blatche thinks he's high and mighty because he's had 16 good games sums this up...

what a douche. That was a biotch move to turn his back on his teammates. They prolly would've won the game too....

And what makes it even worse, the Raps could've possibly tied Charlotte for 7th if Blatche played and the Wiz won:mad:

This team needs a leader badly. No vets to really bring the together.

How about this team? When Flip Saunders took this job, i bet he was like okay, we have the potential to get a top 4-5 seed. My projected starters will be:

Arenas
Miller
Butler
Jamison
Haywood

Good solid young team, with a pretty good starting lineup when healthy, and good reserves.

Then, boy does it go downhill.

-Arenas and Crittenton play Hot Shots in the lockeroom.
-Jamison gets traded
-Butler, Stevenson and Haywood go to the Mavs
-Injuries galore
-Blatche acting up every now and then

He loses 4 of his starters before the trade deadline. That to me is unheard of, unreal. I think we forget how messed up this team was this year. I've honestly never seen anything like it before.

It's not a huge loss for the Wizards, Blatche is a TO machine anyway. If he gets his head in the game, and make smarter decisions with the rock, I can see him joining the 20/10 club next year.

03-24-2010, 04:14 AM
despite blatches performances in the second half, why is his team still struggling considering he thinks he is way above anyone else on the team. players like blatche who dont give it their all each game dont deserve the massive nba contracts given by owners. it makes me mad to see players with loads of talent to waste it because they dont give it their all each and every game for their team.

Saunders and Blatche clearly have issues with each other.

Remember the thread about KG making Blatche cry? Saunders was the one that openly criticized Blatche for trying to talk **** back at KG rather than just playing his game.

Issues.

I was watching the game and when they showed Blatch on the bench he looked high as hell. He's already been suspended a few times for "conduct detrimental" which is normally the PC way of he's a stoner. What a fool! Not for smoking.... for being a diva.

Super.

Blatche is the biggest baby ive ever seen on the court. He really is. The guy talks smack to KG the whole game against the Celtics. KG talks back, Celtics come back and win. Blatche cries.

Now this?

I only have Wade in there, because my sig represents my idea of the current Top 5 players in the league:

1. Kobe
1A. Lebron

3. Dwight
3A. Melo

5. Wade

Oh and don't worry, he'll be off my sig by next season, I'll have replaced him with Durant. :p

Blatche deserves to be benched for a a good 5 games. I honestly didn't watch the game, but i saw that he played a little over 7 minutes and already had 2 blocks so i don't know if his D was that horrible.

Either way, there's no way you give up on your team in the 1st quarter. Especially when the coach is giving you something you can learn from. If he takes you out for not playing D, the real stars become beasts on D when they get back in the game, not refuse to go back in. Sometimes these guys don't know how blessed they are.

For whatever blocks are worth in terms of defense, those two blocks could be precisely the reason why Flip wasn't happy with his D.

I know blocks don't mean anything, but i don't get how getting blocks can get you benched, i do understand though, that his overall defense might have been horrible.

I like the fact that Flip Saunders is holding his players accountable for D, too many players these days only believe in the O.

Easy. Deliberately sagging way off his man to get the flashy blocks. Sure he got stops on two posessions, but maybe he got burned 8 times in order to get those 2. I could see it with a guy like him.
