Josh Smith would win.

I'll take Smith.

I went Josh Smith as well but I'm surprised. Granger is a very talented one on one scorer. He can score in a lot more ways than Smith.

Wait, WTF, Josh Smith is beating Granger?

What a ****ing joke.
Josh Smith literally can only dunk. He can't shoot for ****. This is a joke, Granger would **** on him.

10-10 this is turning into a legit matchup. Very curious to check this in the morning. If you do vote, please include a reason.

I gotta go Smith here. Granger is a more complete basketball player, but I think Smith's athleticism would be too much for him.

Granger-he can slash like smith and he is money with his jumper. He is far more well rounded and a up and coming super star in the league.

Granger in a toughy.... they are two of my favorite players.

He's got the handle, quickness and speed to beat Granger to the rim. Obviously, he isn't known for his shooting so I expect Granger to give him some space all the time. Problem with that is Smith will just **** on him with his dunks, Granger has no real way to stop that. Granger is a decent defender but I don't see him stopping Smith's game 1on1.

On the other side, Granger can explore Smith in a variety of ways to score the basket. Smith is a superb defender though and he'll keep Granger on check, obviously he won't be able to stop Granger all the time. He's a good scorer but Smith has the edge on defense over Granger and I expect Smith to come out on top in the end.

Imho, Smith has the advantage in every aspect except for scoring and ball handling.
If I were to pick one of them to build a team around, I'll go with Smith.
If I already have a competitive team that needs that x-factor to start contending for a title, I pick Granger.

17-16! Down to the wire.

Without a doubt, Smith would take this. Both of these guys are solid defenders. Obviously, Granger is the better shooter, but Smith is a ten times better athlete. Smith would just need to crowd Granger and take away his jumpshot. Given his length, this strategy would render Granger fairly useless. People ridiculously overstate Granger's handles. One on one, Smith would prove a more effective scorer. However, Granger is clearly a better NBA scorer.

21-19 Smith, nothing but net, swish!

I'm looking at a score of Josh Smith 21 / Danny Granger 20. Couldn't get any closer but it's over.

Josh Smith advances to the round of 32.

Smith is too athletic for Granger

That's just embarassing, Granger could literally give him 10 feet breathing room and just wait by the basket and kill him in 1001 ways before finishing him off offensively.

WTF? I still think Granger would beat Josh Smith.

I'll take Granger, too talented offensively. And Smith is more of a weak-side helper anyway.
