2007-08 season, AI and Melo led Denver to 50 wins only to finish last in the West.

And play the Lakers in the 1st round (eventual WC Champions). The year before they finished with 45 wins to finish 8th and play the Spurs in the 1st round (eventual NBA Champions) and yet AI is critisized for their failures.

Good to see that at least SOME ppl understand how the AI-Melo experiment was not a bad thing.

They would have been the 4th seed playing Cleveland in round 1. And then Boston in Round 2. So not sure how they make the ECF.

I know right?

Its not like he didnt kill any form of system for that team, hold up the whole team maturity thing, and didnt have melo regress as a team player while he was in the uniform.

Oh wait..........

Better than the Warriors who worked their *** off to get 48 wins and didn't even MAKE the playoffs. I mean hell, that's almost home court advantage in the east. ::Breathe:: We're about to have a new owner and a resurrected franchise ::Breathe::

What I meant to say, was that if the Nuggets were in the East they would most likely be a Top 3 seed, and make it to the ECF. They were a better team talent wise than the Cavs and the aging Pistons.

He should be criticized for the piss poor effort of the Nuggets team. You don't have to beat the better team, but at least try to make it competitive.

The NBA should just take the best 16 records at the end of the regular season and have the playoffs based on those teams. That way you don't have crappy teams sneaking into the East and better teams in the West not even making it in.
