Every team needs a victory cigar, and a male cheerleader. When I watch Aaron Gray I just think wow this guy reminds me of Scal. OR Will this 7ft white panther be a force to reckon with?

What a great compliment you give to Mr. Gray I'm sure he would be thrilled. I'm black and growing up I liked watching Ray Allen Kobe and all those guys and even Dwyane Wade at Marquette. But when playing basketball I never wanted to be those guys I always thought to myself how I could be the next Brian Scalabrine. Then it took some time and thought to myself I would have to develolp a 3 point shot, stop working out so I could be slow and be one of the worst players on my team. That was something harder to do then the rest.

The title of the thread presumes that Scalabrine is past his prime of being everything Aaron Gray aspires to be, so the short answer is no.

There's room at the 'top' for both of these guys though Scalabrine may have the upper hand due to his dancing ability...

Scal is flashier, but to keep it short, you simply don't mess with the white panther.

I don't know what was worse about that Scal clip, the pass or the commentator saying the Blazers are now right back in it because of it. Last I checked the basket was still only worth 2 points and still trailed by 12 not 14.

Scalabrine's at least had a couple decent years so far.

More than anyone can say about Gray.

I don't see the same goofiness in Gray. Scalabrine definitely has it.

Gray might still become a useful contributor off the bench for a team who needs a big man

He was a pretty good shot blocker in college, if he works on his game he could find himself on a few NBA rosters before his career is done

I think Aron Gray will have a better career.

Wow, that's a bold statement.

Aaron Gray is terrible. Simply terrible.
He's tall, but sucks it up with his terrible athleticism, dude can't even pull down a rebound.

He is a good cheerleader for his bench though, does it well. See Bulls playoffs. Maybe if he brought that fire to the floor he might get into a close game or two.

I love the White Panter. I have a legit man crush, I think he'll be better than Shaq and Dwight combine to the 4th power.

I don't see what's so funny, considering those are pretty decent highs for an end rotation player.

You're the one that deserves the facepalm considering you just completely overlooked what I posted.

I said they are PRETTY DECENT CAREER HIGHS FOR AN END ROTATION PLAYER.

Nice attempt at putting words in my mouth, though.

When White Panther starts doing the running man, the robot, and the thriller dance at half time he just might be able to claim lineage to Mike James the true G.O.A.T

Scals careere high in points is 29

Grays is 19

They both wont be making all star teams or getting big minutes on ANY team.

But Scal has had the better career. Not even close. Gray wont last.
