Greg Oden - Will return next season. Small chance that he returns in the middle of the playoffs.

Blake Griffin - Will return next season. Expected to be ready by 2010-2011 training camp.

Right now my all injury prone team is...
C: Yao
PF: Carlos Boozer
SF: Corey Maggette
SG: Kevin Martin
PG: Devin Harris

just off the top of my head.

injury prone youngsters

C: Greg Oden (he looks like grandpa)
PF: Yi (how young is he?)
SF: Adam Morrison (is he still young?)
SG: ?
PG: Shaun Livingston (is he still young?)

Both are expected to play next season. I imagine that Griffin will play in the summer league. I think they'll rest Oden until the preseason.

Hasn't Morrison only had one injury during his career?

oden should have the full summer to get back into shape. hopefully griffin doesnt get hurt anymore because the clipperes need a guy like griffin to turn their franchise around.

Both should be healthy enough to play come next season and i'll be looking forward to it. Oden when he played this year was playing at close to an all star level and Griffin could turn into a 20-10 guy in a couple of years

I would include McGrady, both O'Neals and Camby somewhere in there.. maybe Gallinari or Biedrins for the youngsters?

Griffin was never as good as ESPN hyped him to be anyway. He wasn't a top 3 pick in a good draft.

Griffin will have more impact next year.

I just hope the Clippers rest Griffin during pre-season, it would be dumb if he does that dunk again.

Both had freak accidents, but in Oden to have two knee surgeries in two years. Thats a lot to overcome.

Griffin hopefully can recover, rehab and get his Pro career started.

This. He is a beast on the boards and on offense. He will be a great asset for the Clippers. Too bad he got injured because he could lure Lebron because the Clippers have a good core of Davis/Griffin/Gordon. Add Lebron and they are a playoff team.

Go back and hang out Marzipan and Strongbad

That statement is ridiculous.

Griffin looks like he could be a solid 20-10 guy in his prime, Oden looks more like a 17-8-2 kind of guy.

Oden is closer to an 8-17-2 guy than a 17-8-2 guy. His offense is rough, but he is one of the best rebounders in the game.

If adding LeBron only makes you a playoff team than there is no chance he is signing with that team. Put LeBron on any team in the league and that team becomes a playoff team.

knowing the Clippers luck..
I doubt Blake Griffin ever dresses up in the regular season.

You can't say anything until he's actually played in the NBA.

You could probably put LeBron with 4 guys from the local YMCA and have a playoff team ;).

I think both guys still have some of the highest ceilings in the game; it's just less likely that they reach them than it was when they were drafted. The numbers you posted are somewhat fair, but I wouldn't bet against Griffin being a 25+ ppg scorer, or against Oden being a multiple DPOY winner just yet.
