Pau would take him down-low, but it would be close 21-17.

Maggette is no joke here. Can shoot, handle the ball, and drive to the rim. I think he'd jack up too many 3's and Pau would take this one.

I've got Maggette here. He can move to much for Pau, whether thats getting open Js or getting to the hole. I don't think Pau has enough offensive versatility to unseat Maggette. Corey is strong, Pau's not gonna back him down from the 3pt line every time.

One on one? Maggette would probably be too quick for Pau and take it fairly easily. How is Pau going to stop his slashes to the rim without weakside help? He'd have to be fairly close to him because Maggette can hit a 15 foot jumper with relative ease. Maggette is strong enough that Pau couldn't just back him down from the three point line, and not quick enough that if Maggette D'd him up closely Pau could take him off the dribble.

I'd have Maggette winning this somewhere around 21-15.

For the record, Maggette probably should've had a much higher seed for a 1 v 1 game [or were the rankings strictly based on their avg. points scored this season?]. His combination of strength and quickness would make him one of the tougher players in the league to play 1 v 1.

A big small forward who can shoot with ease/can play D has the best chance of winning a 1v1 tournament overall. Lebron, Durant and Dirk would be three of the toughest matchups here.

Maggette 21-18

Pretty much what Tredigs said except I feel the score will be closer.

Strictly based on ppg. It made sense because obviously in a game of one on one of players this caliber scoring is primary trait. Also, it's interesting to me to see how accurate the scoring averages are in pin-pointing the top one on one players. Besides, if I used my opinions to rank the players (even though it would be spot on), people would spend too much time complaining certain guys are too high or too low. I mean if you look at the other thread someone is complaining about Wade being a #2 seed. Is that really such a travesty?

Back on topic, I'm a huge proponent of the size advantage in a one on one and I think Pau would get the job done.

Maggette's too quick. Although Gasol can keep us, he's still a big man

Gotta take the more versatile player in this scenario. Maggette can shoot, dribble, drive.

Again, Gasol could back him down fairly easily, but Maggette is a pretty strong guy. I like his chances to defend.

Are there fouls? if yes, then Corey wins 6-0

Pau simply because he would dominate Maggette in the post and he is still mobile enough to contest Maggette's jumpers
