I mean really... everytime i look at the box scores they're giving up like 110 and up some games. Weird transformation, cause this team seemed to be really good defensively not that long ago. Adelman is an offensive guy, but man, does this have anything to do with the Kevin Martin for Landry deal?

Its not so much defence, but game style and the pace they play at.

Its a big drop off though, and really is it the right way to win games?

Well for the current team I would say yes. Other than Ariza and battier, they dont really have good defenders. Hayes is a good post defender, but hes very small and only plays limited minutes anyways

They have some solid defenders, but lets face it... you can't replace a 7 6 guy who can just clog up the paint. Also without Yao they run a lot more. Expect them to be back at the 80-90 pace next year.

2 words Kevin Martin.

Another 2 words, zero defense.

I was thinking that but even when Yao was out earlier this year, they were better than this weren't they?

exactly... and this is what Houston wanted to avoid and that's why they sat out McGrady, but I guess Martin is taking care of that
