The Nets. All it takes is one max player and a John Wall/Evan Turner and they could be right back in it. They do have some nice young talent.

The Rams need about 52 new players (Jackson can stay).

Yea i agree with ManRam, its alot easier to build a championship team in the NBA instead of the NFL

=)) Agreed. Let's say they sign Bosh and they get Wall. Lineup:
Harris
Wall
Lee
Bosh
Lopez

5 potential All Stars. Pretty best team!

Good idea for a thread, I'll pick the Rams though because I think it will be hard for New Jersey to attract free agents and keep their own players.

I think with a new billionaire owner ready to spend, a new arena, and a potentially new arena in Brooklyn, they can be contenders in as few as two years.

I'm gonna go against the flow here and say Rams. Simply because I feel they play a softer level of competition in their respective sport. Think about it. If the Rams were somehow able to find a good QB and stabilize their offensive line, they could be contenders in a very weak NFC West. The Cards lost their All-Pro QB and WR, have no decent/proven QB under contract, and have also lost their best linebacker and safety to free agency. The Seahawks are a complete rebuilding project, and the 49ers could either be very good or very bad. Add the fact that their defense was not that bad last year, and will only improve under another year of Spags, and they could potentially win the West in a few years. As everyone knows, all it takes is a hot streak heading into single game elimination playoffs in the NFL and anything can happen.

As for the Nets. They have some pieces, and could very well attract more, but the way I see it, they still won't be able to compete with Cleveland (LeBron is staying) and Orlando in the East, not to mention the Lakers, Nuggets, Mavs, etc in the West. They would really need D-Wade and a Wall/Turner type to turn it around. My only other gripe is that the NBA, unlike the NFL, has a series system for their playoffs. That would requite the Nets to beat 4 very good or elite teams in 7 game series.

I don't know, maybe its just me, but I feel like its easier to get hot and get 3 or 4 nice upsets for a team that is not too far from being decent in the NFL than it is for a rebuilding project to win 4 series in the NBA.

Rams. Every year in football there are teams that just turn it around. A few free agent signings and a good couple draft classes and a football team can turn around in a instant. The Nets are years and years away from competing unless they someone lure some big time FA's, which I doubt they will.

Is it possible to say neither?

If I had to choose, I'd say the Rams.
