He brings up that Durant deserves MVP this year for what he has done with the Thunder.

I agree

I really think its a two man race between Lebron and KD. Kobe's on the outside looking in, IMO :hide:.

He deserves #2.

Dwight has a tendency to say some dumb ****. Like Brandon Haywood being the best defender verse him (blatantly slighting Perkins). He once said Terrence Morris was one of the best basketball players in the league...and so on.

I honestly don't see it, his team has beaten like only 4 or 5 teams, above .500, in like their last 25 games. I think Kobe and Dwight are right there with him battling for runner-up honors.

My MVP Rankings:
1. Lebron
.
.
.
2. Durant
2A. Kobe
2B. Dwight
.
.
.
5. Melo

I agree with Dwight... the Thunder are over achieving purely because of Durant

Dwight also says he'd take Kobe over Lebron in the stream.

My sister's ex-boyfriend was cousins with Terrence Morris lol.

^ 6 degrees of seperation :D

But in all honesty I'd put him at #2 this year, and would be completely fine if he got the MVP. It isn't like he's not worthy.

Dirk has to get some consideration.

...especially if this streak gets big.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. It's not like the player who actually wins MVP ever deserves it for that given year anyways. LeBron last year is probably the exception.

Kevin Durant deserves it. Lebron's team isn't even as good as last year.

I think Kevin Durant should get it. His team is far worst than the Cavs stacked team. And he has truly turned them around and they are locking in on a nice playoff seed.

However, I must say that Lebron still must put up GREAT NUMBERS for his team to win. The Cavs truly need him.

LOL  I distinctly remember seeing all over PSD last year "The Cavs aren't scary... They only beat up on the bad teams". Take a look at their % against +.500 teams, especially the elite

Dwight... I thought you were a lot smarter than that my friend. Anyway, this year is LeBron's yet again.

1 - LeBron
2 - Durant
3 - Kobe
4 - Dwight

Unfortunately injuries caught up to Kobe, he was beasting at the start of the season when Pau was out. It's between Lebron & KD now.

Yeah he was, he was ballin like a MVP/DPY but his fingers are getting old. The season isn't over yet, the seeds are just being planted.

its more amazing what kevin durant is doing with The Thunder in the WEST...than anything james has done with the cavs in the east....

It's LeBron's award to lose. Plain and simple.

True. I hope the Thunder keep winning and K35 takes his first MVP.

Nope. Lebron is almost averaging 9 assists this year:

30-7-9

He is a machine.

Durant goes 2 tied with Kobe because Kobe is still extremly clutch.

I think LeBron James still deserves the MVP award more, because he does everything for his team. Kevin Durant does everything James does, minus being the primary facilitator. That's definitely because of Russell Westbrook being such a good point guard, but it still places Durant behind James. I do, however, think that Durant deserves the award more than Dwight Howard. I also think that Kobe Bryant deserves the award more, because of his clutch ability.

Cleveland was expected to be very good this year. OKC wasn't expected to do anything more than maybe hover around the .500 mark and try to sneak into the playoffs. But look at the team right now. The Thunder have become a dangerous young team on the verge of making the playoffs and possibly even finishing in the 5-6 spot. That's a huge improvement from last year, and KD has been a big part of the reason why. Maybe KD has a better PG than Lebron and Kobe, but he still handles his business and makes this team go. If KD was to win the MVP, I dont think anybody could be upset about it.

i mean kd is just having a great season and would actually win mvp but this lebron guy is just crazy

Westbrook has nothing to do with it?
Improved defense and forcing turnovers has nothing to do with it either?

We all know that the MVP will go to a player on a team that has most likely the best record in the league, or at worst second best record in the league. That is how it works so the only way durant even sniffs a MVP is if the thunder finish number 1 or number 2

They added Shaq and Jamison, how is that not being a ton better than what they had last year?

no he shouldn't. isnt the reason kobe merely has 1 mvp because he's been surrounded by good players in a good team? what makes dirk special? Lebron and KD deserve it more.

You act like the Cavs are so amazing against the good teams this season:

The Cavs are 2-1 vs Orlando, 1-1 vs Boston, 2-0 vs Atlanta, 2-1 vs Toronto, 2-0 vs Milwaukee, 1-1 vs Chicago and 0-3 vs Charlotte... Total of 10-7 against other EC Playoff teams.

The Magic are 1-2 vs Cleveland, 3-1 vs Boston, 3-0 vs Atlanta, 3-1 vs Toronto, 3-0 vs Milwaukee, 1-1 vs Chicago and 3-0 vs Charlotte... Total of 17-5 against other potential EC Playoff teams.

If anything, the Magic play better against the good teams and the Cavs still need to get better against the good teams.

And how did the Cavs go last year? To say they're a worse team is ridiculous. After all the transition from bringing in someone like Shaq, the Delonte issues, Mo-Will being out, now Shaq out and Jamison as a new addition, look at the Cavs record. Stupid to say they're worse isn't it?

I agree they are better than they were last year, but they still need to pick it up against the good teams.

10-7 vs EC playoff teams is not a very handsome record, should look more like 14-3, I mean the Magic are 17-5, so for the best team in the league, they still need to pick it up.

Yup, I failed to include Miami, because I think they won't make it, but if we put them in, they'd be 13-7 which is still pretty bad.

Well they are beating the top teams this year on the road though. Lakers, Orlando, Boston and Atlanta.
