Mike James has been waived by the Washington Wizards.

Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has waived guard Mike James after coming to a mutual agreement on a contract buyout. James appeared in four games for the Wizards this season, averaging 4.5 points and 1.3 assists. Overall, he averaged 9.3 points and 3.5 assists in 57 games with the Wizards after being acquired from New Orleans in a three-team deal that sent Antonio Daniels (from Washington) to New Orleans, a conditional draft pick (from Washington) to Memphis and Javaris Crittenton (from Memphis) to Washington on Dec. 10, 2008.

Anyone remember a few years back on PSD to the guy who LOVED Mike James? Someone said Mike James once hit a shot from 78 yards or something and didn't hit the rim, but somehow he couldn't make a layup in practice.

Blount and James can only do so much carrying a team on their backs. I'm glad to see them be able to get an opportunity to play for a playoff team and try to achieve that one thing thats been alluding them their entire career.

Poor Wizards' can't even catch a break. If we didn't already have "The Pitbull" Anthony Carter I'd take him, just hate not having the room for both of there egos. Guess some of the cap teams will have to settle for LeBron James and Dwayne Wade if they can't get Mike.

They should make their own Free Agent Team- The United States Blunts

PG- Mike James
SG- Mike James
SF- Michael Finley
PF- Mark Blount
C- Darko Milicic

Bench- Mike James

I dunno if all those contracts can fit on one team though. Do you think Stern could take down the cap in order to make it happen?

When Mike James takes a charge, the offensive player falls down.
