A.Would you rather have a good Home record(+.700) but bad Away record(-.300)

or

B.Would you rather both your home and away record be around .500

What difference does it make?

The playoffs are a whole different ball game anyway.

it's an oddly phrased question but i think i get what you're getting at.

The team with the .500 record on the road has a better chance come playoff time.

The team with the .700 percentage at home and .300 percentage on the road doesn't have the mental toughness to win on the road in the playoffs and is almost guaranteed to be a very young inexperienced team.

Better home record no matter what. With a better home record, if you manage to steal a road game, you have a good chance to win the series. If you are average at both then no matter what you will probably lose the series and have no chance at an upset.
