Shaq left last night's game before halftime with a thumb injury and did not return. Now the Cavs are calling his injury "significant injury and expect him to be out for a considerable period of time after spraining his thumb during Thursday night's game against the Celtics."

Does this change things in the East? How big of an impact will this have on the team?

It's too bad the Cavs can only offer Z pro-rated minimum, cause this would be a helluva' bargaining chip for Big Z.

Cavs play better without him anyway...he is like an anchor that slows them down and makes their offense stagnant.

Why do non players continue to always get it wrong on here....come playoff time where the games become somewat slow/boring is when the DIESEL will show his true value, if scared face FERRY would have pulled trigger last yr deadline we could possibly be talking a CAVS repeat...yea i said it

They'll be better if they get Z back, without Shaq they can pick up the pace and Lebron can take off in the open court without anyone clogging up the lane.

They need Shaq for Dwight, Bynum, Nene or other strong centers, they don't need him in the season.
